DELAIN Debut New Song “Suckerpunch” From Forthcoming EP Lunar Prelude

Available February 19th via Napalm Records!

DELAIN seem to be restless spirits: Their latest album The Human Contradiction was released in 2014 on Napalm Records and gained high praise from both fans and the press alike. DELAIN followed up the release by touring the world with acts such as Sabaton, Within Temptation, and Nightwish, followed by a European headline tour that saw them conquering stages in sold out venues all over! Yet instead of resting on their success, DELAIN have hit the studio again to present a brand new epic endeavor: Lunar Prelude – the exciting EP by DELAIN, set to be released February 19, 2016 on Napalm Records!

As DELAIN prepares to hit the road again in Europe followed by a North American Tour the band is pleased to present a one of the two new songs from their upcoming EP. The song entitled “Suckerpunch” is available for streaming HERE.

The band commented on the upcoming EP and “Suckerpunch”: “Dear Delainers, our latest album The Human Contradiction has taken us on a great ride, performing hundreds of stages around the globe for all of you. We barely managed to catch our breaths from our most recent tours, yet we've already got some new music that we simply can't wait to share. In preparation of our next full-length studio album, we'd like to present to you Lunar Prelude, a collection of several brand new tracks, a new version of a familiar one, and live versions of some our favorite The Human Contradiction tracks. Today, we release the first track off "Lunar Prelude": an upbeat fight song about facing your demons and taking them on. Don't let them weigh you down! We hope you will enjoy "Suckerpunch"!"

Lunar Prelude, was mastered by Grammy Award winning Ted Jensen, offers two brand new songs in the shape of the beyond catchy ‘Suckerpunch‘ and the melancholic ‘Turn The Lights Out‘.

‘Don`t Let Go‘ (taken from 2014`s The Human Contradiction) comes in a brand new version, while the EP also contains four incredible live cuts, as well as an orchestral reprise of ‘Suckerpunch‘, all of which proving once again how DELAIN are blatantly known for their extremely catchy hooks, bewitching melodies, symphonic bombast, and of course a good solid dose of Metal! DELAIN have concocted a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of emotions, and with the EP title featuring the tell-tale word "Prelude", our hunger is left to grow for a next full-length album...coming in 2016!

The Track Listing of Lunar Prelude will read as follows:

1. Suckerpunch 2. Turn the Lights Out 3. Don't Let Go 4. Lullaby (Live 2015) 5. Stardust (Live 2015) 6. Here Come the Vultures (Live 2015) 7. Army of Dolls (Live 2015) 8. Suckerpunch Orchestra

ANTHRAX - BAND DISCUSS THE 'SIXTH MEMBER' OF THE BAND, PRODUCER JAY RUSTON

When it came time for thrash legends ANTHRAX to start the writing and recording process for the follow up to 2011's Grammy-nominated Worship Music, there was no doubt that the entire band wanted producer Jay Ruston there with them from the start. Ruston first worked with the band during the final stages of Worship Music but for this new album, he has been there every step of the way.

"He's become an integral part of our process, that's for sure", comments Scott Ian. "It's cliche, but he really has become a sixth member."

In the most recent album trailer released by the band, Scott Ian, Frank Bello, Charlie Benante, Joey Belladonna and Jonathan Donais talk about Ruston's invaluable contribution to the making of For All Kings, due out February 26th:

Track list:

01. You Gotta Believe 02. Monster At The End 03. For All Kings 04. Breathing Lightning 05. Suzerain 06. Evil Twin 07. Blood Eagle Wings 08. Defend Avenge 09. All Of Them Thieves 10. The Battle Chose Us 11. Zero Tolerance

The album will be in stores on February 26th, 2016.

TWO MORE ADDITIONS FOR NORTHERN SYMPHONY

Two more bands have been announced to join the likes of Theatres des Vampires, Old Corpse Road and Alwaid at the second edition of the UK's leading symphonic metal festival: Northern Symphony.

Scottish suited-and-booted black metal corporation Maelstrom, who have supported the likes of Alestorm and Tyr in the past, have been announced to headline the Infernal Orchestra stage on 16th April this year. The band's keyboardist Jaime Cross comments: "It's a massive honour to have been picked to headline the Infernal Orchestra stage. We're all excited about the festival and we always enjoy our shows in England. We look forward to seeing you all there!"

Joining Maelstrom on the Infernal Orchestra stage are Ward XVI, who describe themselves as theatrical avant-garde rock. Mixing haunting melodies and female vocals with heavy guitar passages and the occasional segment of accordions, Ward XVI are an interesting addition to the festival.

Northern Symphony Festival will take place on Saturday 16th April at The Venue in Selby. In total, there will be 14 bands across 2 stages. The Midnight Waltz stage will be headlined by Italy's legendary vampire-themed metal band THEATRES DES VAMPIRES.

Advance tickets are available for £15 from the festival's BigCartel store.Further information is avialable at the festival's official Facebook page.

FILTER announce new album "Crazy Eyes", due April 8, 2016 via Wind-up Records

"Crazy Eyes is hardly bereft of guitars but there are a substantial amount of electronics and effects in use. The result features heavy industrial crunch and solemn, ambient songs that reach back to Patrick’s time in Nine Inch Nails and the first Filter album, 1995’s Short Bus." - Billboard

Reconstruction requires deconstruction. The institutions must be razed in order to clear space for the future to flourish. You tear down the old and build up the new. Filter founder, singer, guitarist, and producer Richard Patrick knows this dance well. It’s what established the group as a multiplatinum industrial alternative luminary, and it catalyzed their seventh full-length album, Crazy Eyes [Wind-up Records].

“Filter is the mind,” he exclaims. “It’s your interpretation or my interpretation. Our thing is to look at people’s unexplainable behavior and assess it, using sound. It’s a way to approximate the insanity of the human condition. The reason this record is so fucking heavy and strange is it’s exactly the opposite of what’s popular. It’s not pretty. It’s not cute. It’s real.”

Rather than partner with a producer, he took the reins and oversaw production on "Crazy Eyes" himself. “You recognize it’s us from my aggression and singing, but the instrumentation had to change,” he admits. “It wasn’t about just stacking guitars like we might’ve done on the last couple records. There are way more electronics and sound design.”

He collaborated with old friends such as the man behind 1999’s seminal platinum-certified Title of Record, producer Ben Grosse [Thirty Seconds To Mars, Marilyn Manson], and Michael “Blumpy” Tuller [Nine Inch Nails]. He also worked closely with new band mates Oumi Kapila [guitar, programming], Ashley Dzerigian [bass], Chris Reeve [drums], and Bobby Miller [keyboards], and former Filter bandmates, Johnny Radke and Danny Lohner. Mixed by Brian Virtue (Janes Addiction, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Deftones) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Van Halen, Mars Volta, The White Stripes).

The first single “Take Me To Heaven” rides a pulse-pounding gallop into an entrancing and ponderous refrain. “I was looking into the eyes of my father when he was passing away, and I held his hand,” Richard recalls. “He glanced at me really quickly, focused on me, had this look of gratitude, and then he slipped away. I was almost like, ‘I hope you’re going to heaven.’ Scientifically, the idea doesn’t make any sense to me, but if there is a heaven, take me there. That’s what happened.”

Ultimately, it all comes back to the fact that Richard remains honest. “I’m completely into this for the music,” he leaves off. “Being yourself is the most important thing. I authentically went places I’d never gone before. That was from my heart. I’m trying to be as genuine as possible to what Filter is. It’s about sounding fucking different, forward, and original.

BEAUTY IN THE SUFFERING Release Compelling 90 Second Video Collage Teasing Upcoming EP!

Oklahoma City, OK - BEAUTY IN THE SUFFERING, the electro-metal project from producer Dietrich Thrall (ex-DOYLE, MARAZENE), have posted their 2016 teaser in the form of a 90 second video collage which highlights the bands upcoming releases.

Teaser Track List:

1) "N.G.F.D." (Never Gonna F*ing Die) 2) "YOUR LOVE" THE OUTFIELD cover 3) "REVEILLE" 4) "JULIET"

"For as long as I can remember I have always heard music in my head. Usually while I am in songwriting mode and I start scatting scratch vocals I will get a good sense of a lyrical theme and from there a story emerges. Sometimes the story is vast and communal and sometimes it’s just a feeling or a mood and much more personal." From every aspect of this project ; music, lyrics, album artwork, and video, I wanted to try and create a multi-media experience that would shine a light from different angles on different core aspects of concepts that were running around in my head despite all of the financial roadblocks most independent bands face. For my bands first videos it just so happens the first couple of songs took a zombie apocalypse turn. But whether the setting is that of a dystopian future or focuses on interpersonal pain from the present or demons from the past my goal has and will always be to enhance the musical experience through a cinematic approach." - DieTrich Thrall

About BEAUTY IN THE SUFFERING

Artist & producer DieTrich Thrall is known among industrial-metal fans for his work in the band Marazene (AKA: Marazene Machine), who scored a hit - and the approval of rock legends NIKKI SIXX and TOMMY LEE - with their extreme cover of Motley Crüe's “Live Wire” as well as horror punk fans during his touring stint with MISFITS guitar legend DOYLE WOLFGANG VON FRANKENSTEIN's solo project DOYLE.

“BEAUTY IN THE SUFFERING is one of the most exciting projects I’ve worked on lately” said Provo Provenzano, who handled engineering and guested on the project and appeared in 4 of the music videos. “DieTrich is insanely precise in the studio and has a great vision for where his songs need to be and the DIY ability and attitude to get it done right. DieTrich has also brought in some amazing studio musicians to help round out a unique and catchy collection of gritty and electronic based songs. I can’t wait to get them out there for the world to hear!”

In between flirtations and collaborations with rock n' roll's elite, Thrall has pushed ahead, never afraid to pioneer new ground, forming a new heavy electronic rock supergroup dubbed BEAUTY IN THE SUFFERING which features studio and media special guests from members of TRAPT, AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE, DOPE, ANTI-MORTEM, SKINLAB, EVERYBODY PANIC – with additional guests TBA.

For their first outing as a new band, Thrall and team decided to adopt a horror motif, beginning with the track “The Crazies (The Zombie Song),” which is no doubt influenced by the horror classics of George A. Romero – not just the film of the same name, but his beloved Dead saga as well. “The Crazies” is the first of four zombie-themed music videos to be released and you'll be hearing more about the project soon.

TKO / THE RODS members record MOTORHEAD cover of Ace of Spades as a tribute to Lemmy

Members of legendary American metal bands TKO and THE RODS recently teamed up to record a high octane version of the MOTORHEAD classic "Ace of Spades" as a tribute to Lemmy.

TKO vocalist Brad Sinsel has checked in with the following comment:

Immediately following the death of Rock Legend Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister, the surviving members of Motorhead reached out to & simply requested that fans " Play Lemmy's music loud. Have a drink or few. Share stories. Celebrate the LIFE of this lovely, wonderful man celebrated so vibrantly himself."

Former members of TKO gathered together to follow those instructions on a dreary Saturday while tuning into the live broadcast of Lemmy's "Celebration of Life." Brad Sinsel, frontman for TKO / Warbabies / Angels of Dresden, took things a step deeper in his search for closure in the matter. Speaking with guitarist Rick Pierce, bassist Evan Sheeley, Guitarist Brynn Arens, Sinsel asked with a gr

in, "How 'bout we go in and record some Motorhead? Who's game? Immediate reaction from everyone was "Hell Yeah!". My next call was to Carl Canady, drummer for the Rods" and I couldn't think of anyone more fitting to do this with, he added.

Dubbed ,"The Lemmy Sessions," TKO entered the studio in celebration of what they viewed as a rock n roll life well lived. Although the plan was never to release the recordings to the public, the final decision was made to release Ace of Spades as a loving tribute to Lemmy. All proceeds will go to the Ronnie James Dio "Stand Up and Shout" Cancer fund.

Carl Canedy has checked in to share his favorite memory of Motorhead's Lemmy:

When The Rods opened for Motorhead at the Calderone Concert Hall in Hampstead, Long Island, New York, we were in the middle of recording our "Live" album for Combat Records.

It was a crazy time for us and I remember having been called to the back of the venue during Motorhead's set. They were so loud that even outside, we had to yell to each other to be heard. Motorhead was so loud, I couldn't believe it. As we'd been called the "American Motorhead" in the first Sounds review by Geoff Barton, I was eager to see them live. They didn't disappoint. It was truly one of the loudest shows I've ever seen.

After the show Lemmy hung out with us at the back of the venue. I remember him being a really good guy. He had his arm around me chatting and offering me his seemingly "never ending" beer. He was patient and kind to the fans. The nicest and most unpretentious guy I'd met in the music business. A true metal icon!

THE MISSION announce 30th Anniversary Tour

2016 sees The Mission celebrating 30 years since they first set foot on the stage at the intimate Alice In Wonderland club in London on January 20th 1986.

To celebrate The Mission set out on their most extensive and ambitious tour since they reformed in 2011, to coincide they will release a brand new studio album. The 30th anniversary tour starts in Dublin on October 1st and includes O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London on October 8th. The Mission will also play the Whitby Goth Weekend on November 5th.

Wayne Hussey exclaimed ’30 bloody years! Who would’ve thought it, eh? As we were well renowned for our, ahem, lifestyle choices, shall we say, I remember Melody Maker ran an office pool betting which member of The Mission would die first. I seem to remember Mick was the favourite with yours truly running a close 2nd. Well, we’re still here, alive and well and still going strong. It seems to me that anyone who survives past the age of 50 in this business these days is given honorary legendary status. It’s cheaply given, in my opinion, but we’ll take it. I seriously never thought I’d see this day but 30 years is a remarkable achievement. Not one we could have achieved without the support and patronage of our brilliant audience. This celebration is for them as much as it is for our retirement funds.”

With the original members Wayne Hussey, Craig Adams and Simon Hinkler being joined by new drummer Mike Kelly in 2011 and armed by one of the most rabid fan bases in the world The Mission have continued to excite the legions with a slew of successful shows and tours. The Mission has sold in excess of 4 million of their previous 13 studio albums and attendant singles, compilations and live albums. They have garnered headlines in the worlds music press and not always for the quality and strength of their music. However, with a new studio album planned and this extensive tour The Mission enter their 4th decade in the rudest of health.

On January 22nd there is an exclusive ticket pre sale at the-mission.tmstor.es, which includes a free download of 'Father' by Wayne Hussey.
