ANTI-FLAG SIGN TO SPINEFARM RECORDS
BAND TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM AMERICAN SPRING IN MAY
JANUARY 19th SHOW IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA, TO STREAM ON YAHOO
Spinefarm is thrilled to announce the signing of Pittsburgh's incendiary punk rock iconoclasts Anti-Flag, who have served as a constant voice of and agent for change by advocating peace and human rights through their tireless work with and support of organizations such as Amnesty International, ACLU, Greenpeace, Planned Parenthood, Rainforest Action Network, PETA and more.
Spinefarm welcomes the band to its worldwide roster.
Anti-Flag, who never have and never will shy away from issuing inflammatory, political statements encased in a fast, furious and unforgettable musical package, will release American Spring, their Spinefarm debut and tenth album overall, this May. The band last released an album in 2012 in the form of The General Strike.
American Spring, produced by AWOLNATION's Kenny Carkeet, Jim Kaufman (Funeral For A Friend, Skindred, Helmet) and Anti-Flag, features a cameo from fellow punk legend Tim Armstrong of Rancid, who appears on the song ‘Brandenburg Gate’, while Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello is featured on ‘Without End’.
While Anti-Flag spent 2014 hitting stages at major international festivals such as Coachella (US), Sonisphere (UK), Pukkelpop (Belgium) and Glastonbury (UK), 2015 will find the band as in-your-face as ever… as if anything less was possible.
Given the state of the world in 2015, a new Anti-Flag album couldn’t be better timed; this is a record full of fist-in-the-air, sing-along anthems, representing the band's unique world view and serving as informed calls to action.
Full details, such as track-listing and exact release date, will be available in due course; in the meantime, the band has issued the following statement—or perhaps it's more of a warning to the asleep-at-the-wheel masses…
"We are excited to announce that our tenth full-length record will be released on Spinefarm Records this spring. There is no shortage of fodder for a new record of commentary on the social and political climate in 2015: endless wars, the new Jim Crow and American injustice, corprotocracy, environmental coup d'état, the surveillance state, loss, grief and anxiety. We hope that these songs can grant us solace in a seemingly hopeless era.
"It has been frustrating to see much punk rock music —and music in general— quiet in the face of so many atrocities that are taking place around the world. This record is not quiet. If you are disillusioned with the status quo, these songs are for you. The American Spring is now."
Spinefarm Records General Manager Worldwide Jonas Nachsin says: "Anti-Flag are a band with a message certainly, and in addition, the music is just as compelling. This album, our first with the band, is just incredible. While we are happy to help deliver it to their legion of devoted fans, our plan is also to extend it out to those who haven't yet been exposed to this treasured act. We are proud that they chose us to bring on American Spring."
Fans don't have to wait for spring for a taste of Anti-Flag, though!
The band's January 19th show at The Visulite Theatre in Charlotte, N.C., will see them performing the classic album The Terror State in its entirety, and will be live-streamed as part of a Yahoo concert series where fans can stream a show a day for free 365 days a year, all from the comfort of their couch. Tune into Anti-Flag as they slay the Visulite stage here. https://screen.yahoo.com/live/event/anti-flag
Don't go quiet… Anti-Flag and American Spring won't allow you to lapse into complacency or let you give up. If ever there were a soundtrack for an uprising, it's American Spring.

MAY 29-31 — Olympiapark München, DE - ROCKAVARIA

ENABLER - recording of new album 'Fail To Feel Safe' has started
Ohio based hardcore/metal outfit ENABLER have entered Silver Bullet Studios with producer Greg Thomas (Misery Signals, Shai Hulud) and engineer Chris Teti (The World Is A Beautiful Place). Thomas produced ENABLER’s 2012 critically acclaimed album “All Hail The Void”. Mastering will be done by Bill Henderson at Azimuth Mastering. An early summer release date is planned.
Led by frontman, songwriter and guitarist Jeff Lohrber, ENABLER stands as one of the most honest, pissed off and heartfelt metallic hardcore bands around today. The band's sound, which is a unique mixture of thrash, death metal, punk rock and hardcore, has made an impact all over the world since their debut EP “Eden Sank to Grief” was first released on Andy Hurley's (Fall Out Boy, Racetraitor) FC Records in 2010. Two full length albums, three EPs and multiple split and compilation appearances have been released on various labels since then, including the last year’s “La Fin Absolue Du Monde”, which sat upon many “Best of 2014” lists. “La Fin Absolue Du Monde” was also ENABLER’s first collaboration with Century Media Records, who put out the album in Europe, spiced up with three previously unreleased bonus tracks.

TOUR-VERLEGUNG: SAMSAS TRAUM - POESIE TOUR 2015 special guest: WEENA MORLOCH - In German

CODE premiere new song "undertone"
London-based shapeshifters CODE have teamed up with Noisey to launch a new track "undertone", from the band's anticipated full-length album "mut" (out on February 27th in Europe and March 10th in North America via Agonia Records).
Tearing down the barriers of extreme metal limitations, CODE have taken a daring plunge into the unknown following their urge for further unhampered expression, and have delivered a dynamic progressive post-rock album that is sure to cause a stir.
The first revealed song entitled "dialogue" is available for listening:
On the new album, the band commented: "mut is the sound of us as a band freeing ourselves not just from the confines of what CODE is, but from genre conventions of any description. The time for conforming has past and we have created an album that is the purest distillation of our creative ambition. This is the first time in the history of the band that we have created music with no reference points and as a result, this is our most stark, intimate and emotional album".
"mut" was recorded in the famed Brighton Electric Studios (The Cure, Foals, Nick Cave, Royal Blood) with engineer and producer Paul 'Win' Winstanley. Cover artwork and layout have been created by the Austrian designer Thomas Neulinger.
Band's fourth album, the follow-up to 2013 effort "Augur Nox", will be available in: slipcase CD, limited grey vinyl, hand-numbered transparent vinyl and digital formats.
"mut" tracklist:
1. on blinding larks 2. undertone 3. dialogue 4. affliction 5. contours 6. inland sea 7. cocoon 8. numb, an author 9. the bloom in the blast
Watch SYMPHONY OF MALICE Guitar and Drum Play-Through Videos Now via YouTube
Connecticut heavy metal powerhouse SYMPHONY OF MALICE re-issued their most recent blazingly heavy album, Judgement Day (The Aftermath), on December 15, 2014. Now, ESP-sponsored guitarist Gus Sinaro and new drummer Eric Williams have unleashed two new play-through videos, performing the tracks “Nothing Left In Us” and “War Conspiracy”.
In 2015, Gus Sinaro continues the amazing work he started on Judgement Day (The Aftermath), as well as revamping the band's line up and getting ready for a new album coming soon.
This year, as mentioned above, SYMPHONY OF MALICE proudly introduces its new drummer, Eric Williams. Williams, who is currently endorse by Axis Percussion, was introduced to the band by referral from elite metal technician Darren Cesca (Arsis, Pillory, Incinerate).
After auditions, it was clear that Williams was the right fit and the future of SYMPHONY OF MALICE. “Fans should expect the new material to be more complex and aggressive while still holding true to the band's distinctive sound,” he says.
Gus Sinaro founded SYMPHONY OF MALICE in 2009. Hailing from Stamford, Connecticut, this four-piece metal band delivers the best that metal has to offer. Drawing influences from traditional thrash and heavy metal bands such as Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden and modern metal such as Trivium and Machine Head, SYMPHONY OF MALICE is hell-bent on tearing down the house with their creative musical talents. In addition to garnering many fans with their album Judgement Day (The Aftermath), SYMPHONY OF MALICE has had the honor of performing with well-known acts like Trivium, DevilDriver, Drowning Pool, Korzus, Nervosa and Eye Empire.
After his years of work with SYMPHONY OF MALICE, Gus Sinaro found himself in the enviable position of guitar hero. He branched out and released a handful of titles with his own eponymous group, SINARO. The success of the two acts led to Sinaro’s sponsorship by ESP Guitars, Ernie Ball Strings and Hughes & Kettner Amps. SINARO infuses the SOM sound with a more melodic and anthemic sheen on his debut solo release Darkest Hours (The Rebirth) and ‘No Salvation,’ the album's latest single.

Black Sheep Wall unleash new track
BLACK SHEEP WALL are now premiering the second new song taken from their forthcoming new album 'I'm Going to Kill Myself'. "Tetsuo the Dead Man" is exclusively streaming via The Obelisk as official media partner.
The highly anticipated follow-up to 2012's acclaimed 'No Matter Where It Ends' has been scheduled for release on the 26th of January 2015. 'I'm Going to Kill Myself' was engineered, mixed and mastered by Daniel Braunstein, and is now available for pre-order from the Season of Mist shop.
BLACK SHEEP WALL have previously commented on their new album:
"It's crazy how much can change in a year or two, but when you think about our history those who have been following us shouldn't be surprised", states guitarist Scott Turner. "We're very excited about the release of 'I'm Going to Kill Myself', and the debut of Brandon as our full time vocalist after doing close to 7 years of duty on bass. His voice is the voice I've been waiting to have in the band for years.
The album was just as much a labour of love as it was an arduous and brain wracking process. Once you hear the songs you'll know what I mean. They are a test of endurance as Jackson and I purposely tried to push the limits of taste for the album which I sometimes like to think of more as a special project than a true follow up album.
'I'm Going to Kill Myself' is unique to us in that rather than sitting down for formal song writing sessions we kind of just wrote songs through conversations, and with odd symbols and notes on paper that translated to guitar, bass, and drums in the studio. As for the album art, the always amazing Jeff Rogers really came through with beyond amazing artwork that really captures not only the album, but who we are as a band. I don't think we'll ever do anything like this again so hopefully you all enjoy it, and not really want to kill yourselves after like I wanted to while making this album."
Current Line-up
Brandon Gillichbauer: vocals, bass Scott Turner: guitar, bass Andrew Hulle: guitar Jackson Thompson: drums
MORGOTH announce details on new studio album, brand new song launched
After 19 years the deadly teutonic death metal force of MORGOTH return with a brand new studio album. “Ungod” will be released on March 30th, 2015 in Europe and April 7th, 2015 in North America by Century Media Records. The album will contain 11 tracks of dark and dismal death metal, combining the untamed ferocity of MORGOTH’s infamous EPs with the atmospheric density of the band’s two legendary albums, “Cursed” and “Odium”.
Today you can already check out one new track. It’s the album’s fourth song, “Black Enemy”, and a prime example of what’s to come:
MORGOTH comments on the new album and the new track as follows:
“After 18 years we can finally present a first glimpse at our new full length album “Ungod”! We started with the songwriting in January 2013 and finished the recording process by the end of December 2014. It was an awesome experience to go through the sometimes very complex and challenging process of writing and recording an album again.
Our goal was to present some real Morgoth-style Death Metal, which closes the gap between “Cursed” and “Odium”. We hope that we have achieved this goal and our supporters and friends will like the final outcome.
The idea behind the song “Black Enemy” is that this evil force rests within all of us and all we can do is trying to keep that beast under control. The “Black Enemy” represents the dark and destroying part inside of us and the lyrics deal with someone who is not able to control it anymore, committing a murder in the end”.
“Ungod” was recorded, mixed and mastered in November and December 2014 by Jörn Michutta and Matthias Klinkmann at Sound Division Tonstudio in the band’s initial home-area of Sauerland / Germany, after having already successfully tested the studio for the “God Is Evil” EP.
MORGOTH recently parted ways with longtime vocalist Marc Grewe, who was replaced by Karsten “Jagger” Jäger (also in Disbelief). Jagger has already proven being the perfect fit for MORGOTH on his live debut in December and his performance on “Ungod” will further solidify the choice.
Be prepared for the return of MORGOTH and the coming of the “Ungod”.

Profane And The Sacred "Chapter 1 : A Long Time Coming" out via Cargo Records 23 February 2015
HARD HEAVY GIGANTIC GROOVES
‘Chapter 1 : A Long Time Coming’ is the debut studio album by stoner rock band PROFANE AND THE SACRED.
Featuring gigantic doom laden riffs that unashamedly smother you in nostalgia but waste no time in lacing prog tinged instrumental breakdowns into a 9 song musical journey. Showcasing time progressions that shift gears but never let up on the momentum - allowing the rapsy, gritty vocals of singer Luke Alleeson to cover the organic soundtrack.
'A Long Time Coming' is an album specifically recorded to sound alive and not manipulated to the point of sounding ‘cookie cut’ - the warm acoustic notes of album opener ‘Bench’ gives way to down tuned riffing with ‘Bleed That Stone’ and ‘You Know’ demonstrating the armoury of this band. Lead single ‘From The Top’ showcases Profane And The Sacred in a 5 minute classic stoner rock track.
The subtle tones of closer ‘A New Leaf’ captures the melodic side, with keyboards, acoustic and bass complimenting each other in this instrumental piece, leaving the listener in a soothing, melancholy reflective mood.
Profane And The Sacred will release a new sinelge/music video 'Words' in February.

The album was mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony (Necrophobic, Dissection, Asphyx, Necros Christos and many more).
Be prepared for the storm of the Antichrist.

PERIPHERY launch trailer for 'JuggerDoc' & announce supports for sold out London show
PERIPHERY are presenting a trailer for 'JuggerDoc – The Making Of Juggernaut', a DVD included with the 'Juggernaut: Omega' CD, check out the trailer here:
Adam Getgood, bassist and producer of Juggernaut, states: "The creation of ‘Juggernaut’ was a long and involved process for all of us, so having a crew on hand to document it was a real pleasure. It's amazing to be able to look back on the way things went down, and I think listeners will really enjoy seeing behind the scenes of the recording.”
'JuggerDoc' is an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the 'Juggernaut' recording process from start to finish. The documentary allows fans to observe each member play through their parts for the albums without lack of detail in gear, technique, and full PERIPHERY humor.
Director and videographer Alex Wohleber: "Directing ‘JuggerDoc’ and working with PERIPHERY was an absolute blast. The amount of detail and perfection that went in to the making of ‘Juggernaut’ is an amazing thing to experience. We wanted to give fans the real deal, and this is it! I'm excited for everyone to see it.”
Videographer Jeff Holcomb adds, "How PERIPHERY works in the studio is an experience I've been wanting to share for a long time. I knew a documentary had to be made, and the recording of ‘Juggernaut’ was the perfect story to capture.”
The highly anticipated dual album releases 'Juggernaut: Alpha' and 'Juggernaut: Omega' come together as a conceptual piece to be experienced collectively. The story follows a tale of birth and re-birth with the first album (Alpha) sharing the origins of the main character and the second offering (Omega) sharing the gut-wrenching twists and turns the take takes. Each album cover features original artwork from graphic novelist Justin Randall.
On another note PERIPHERY can finally announce Xerath and Red Seas Fire as supports for their sold-out headlining show in London, O2 Academy Islington on April 1st.

HELLIONS RELEASE NEW SINGLE 'CREASY'
Sydney hardcore trio Hellions today release 'Creasy' from their incendiary second album 'Indian Summer' (Feb 02, UNFD). A forceful blast of caustic energy, 'Creasy' represents the punk rock side of Hellions' assault throughout 'Indian Summer' which owes as much to the operatic theatrics of My Chemical Romance as it does the barely-controlled fury of Stray From The Path.
"'Creasy' is about hedonistic excess and its cognitive consequence; the incongruous duality of the fearful and fearsome within one," says guitarist Matt Gravolin.
Forming in early 2013, Hellions wasted little time in establishing themselves as a national presence with a series of incendiary tours and a critically acclaimed debut record. But now, with the release of new album 'Indian Summer' they're taking their textured approach to punk chaos worldwide. This is not a standard punk rock album - it speaks with guitars, pianos, strings, noise and silence of depression and young defiance; it's thrillingly manic and perfectly coherent all at once.
“Indian Summer represents everything we stand for as individuals,” begins drummer Anthony Caruso. “This is the first time we have ever felt truly content with where we at musically, which is exciting and invigorating for everyone. It’s honest, confronting and true to ourselves. Hellions isn’t just a band, it’s a way of life and Indian Summer is our way of showing people who we are. It’s for everyone.”
Releasing their first single ‘Infamita’ in June 2013, Caruso, Gravolin and frontman Dre Faivre quickly racked up supports and tours with Deez Nuts, Attila and Every Time I Die before releasing their UNFD debut 'Die Young' in September. The trio’s blend of aggressive, hardcore-influenced guitar work, punk rock melodicism, frenzied percussion and Faivre's unique delivery all combining to form a sound and style that Hellions can proudly call their own.

BLIND GUARDIAN REVEALS FIFTH ALBUM TRAILER FOR 'BEYOND THE RED MIRROR'
Metal’s most epic storytellers BLIND GUARDIAN are set to release their forthcoming album 'Beyond The Red Mirror' on the 2nd of Feb 2015. Until then the band will be posting a series of trailers about the making of the album online. Today sees the release of the fifth trailer, which details what is was like to work with an orchestra on the new album.
Four-and-a-half years in the making, Beyond The Red Mirror was recorded at Twilight Hall Studio in Grefrath, Germany and produced by Charlie Bauerfeind (SAXON, HAMMERFALL, HELLOWEEN). The album’s spellbinding tracks showcase BLIND GUARDIAN’s long-awaited collaborative work with three different classical choirs from Prague, Budapest and Boston, plus two grand orchestras - each featuring 90 musicians! An endeavour demanding that attention be paid to the lyrics as much as to the music, Beyond The Red Mirror is a desperate search for truth, an exploration of the relativities of good and evil, a testimony of the consequences of lost opportunities, a glimpse into a distant universe’s dystopian society, a story about a prophecy, a promise of revolution, a plot for revenge and a miracle machine with powers far beyond what mere mortals could have dreamed possible.
Beyond The Red Mirror will be out in the UK on the 2nd of Feb 2015 via Nuclear Blast.
The album track list reads as follows:
01. Ninth Wave 02. Twilight Of The Gods 03. Prophecies 04. At The Edge Of Time 05. Ashes Of Eternity 06. Distant Memories (bonus track on limited editions + vinyl) 07. Holy Grail 08. The Throne 09. Sacred Mind 10. Miracle Machine 11. Grand Parade
BLIND GUARDIAN will be performing on this year’s 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise in January 2015 before launching their headlining tour across nine European countries in April and May 2015. They will be hitting the stage at The Forum in London on the 12th of April.

Comedian Kaitlin Colombo (E!, MTV) Announces "GLITORIS!" Burlesque and Launches Indiegogo Campaign
Stand-up comedian, singer, actor, producer, and entertainment-extraordinaire Kaitlin Colombo (NBC's Last Comic Standing, E!, MTV) has officially announced her next NSFW production, "GLITORIS" The show is an ode to the bawdy burlesque shows of the 1920s and 30s with a hysterical (and sexy!) mash up of comedy, Big-Band jazz covers of your favorite 90s grunge-rock songs, and Fosse-inspired choreography performed by Kaitlin and the beautiful girls of the Cherry Poppins burlesque troupe.
To fund this spectacular burlesque extravaganza, Kaitlin has launched an Indiegogo campaign for the debut of "GLITORIS"in Los Angeles this Spring with a national tour to follow. Perks include personal thank yous from Kaitlin, an exclusive download of the show's first single "Violet", a live EP of the show, VIP Tickets to"GLITORIS" near you, VIP invites to Kaitlin Colombo's exclusive after-party, limited edition "GLITORIS" merch, a video Ukulele serenade by Kaitlin to your song of choice, Burlesque lessons by the Cherry Poppins with the chance to dance in "GLITORIS", your own private event performance of the show, or Kaitlin will use her hysterical mastermind to write your next party joke or be your fake internet girlfriend! Kaitlin Colombo is giving her fans personalized one-of-a-kind memorabilia (and memories) as a thank you for supporting her next huge production. "GLITORIS" is produced by The Colombo Company, in partnership with Fractured Atlas (a 501c3 public charity). Any donation made to the show is tax-deductible.
As the proud daughter of a Gay man and a Lesbian woman, Kaitlin Colombo is a tireless advocate for LGBTQ rights and has performed at Pride events and fundraisers across the country. In fact, proceeds from each performance of "GLITORIS" will go to local LGBTQ charities.
"GLITORIS" will kick off in Hollywood this Spring with a national tour to follow. Follow Kaitlin Colombo and the show on social media for future updates, announcements, and all the filthy jokes and gasp-inducing stories you've come to expect from this award-winning comedian!
What Is GLITORIS!?
GLITORIS is a musical/comedy/burlesque concert event, created by and starring stand up comedian and singer Kaitlin Colombo (Last Comic Standing, E!, MTV, FOX). Harkening back to the early days of 20s- and 30s-era Vaudeville, the show features beautiful dancing girls, a live 7-piece Big Band and ten show-stopping musical numbers - all punctuated by Kaitlin's dirtiest, smartest and funniest material.
And the music, you ask? The music is all 90s-era Alt-Rock, rearranged in the style of 1940s Big Band. So imagine...Marilyn Manson's "The Dope Show" as a Fosse-inspired bump-and-grind dance number, "Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind as an Andrews Sister song, and Alanis Morrisette's "You Oughta Know" mashed up with "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend".
This hilarious burlesque extravaganza makes its world debut in Los Angeles in Spring 2015!

THE AGONIST premiere video for 'Gates of Horns and Ivory' - touring Europe in March
Montreal's THE AGONIST will release their new album “Eye Of Providence” on February 23 in Europe and February 24 in North America via Century Media Records. “Eye Of Providence” is the follow up to THE AGONIST's 2012 album “Prisoners” and will be the debut of new vocalist Vicky Psarakis. The band has just completed the official video for "Gates of Horns and Ivory."
Guitarist Danny Marino had this to say about the video: "We had a great time shooting the Gates of Horn and Ivory video with our good friend and long time collaborator David Brodsky. It was great to finally have a video where we get to laugh at ourselves as well! If you've ever met the band you would know were not always as serious as our music may let on. The title and lyrics of Gates of Horn and Ivory were inspired by the ancient Greek text The Odyssey. It is said that within dreams should you see something enter through gates made of horn you can know it to be true in life. If the gates are ivory that it is a deception, and in life you should not trust whatever you saw come through those gates. It's a very interesting concept and I adapted it to things I have witnessed in my life. For the video we decided to use the music industry as the setting for the duality of horn (truth) and ivory (deception)."
'Eye of Providence' track-listing:
1. Gates of Horn and Ivory 2. My Witness, Your Victim 3. Danse Macabre 4. I Endeavor 5. Faceless Messenger 6. Perpetual Notion 7. A Necessary Evil 8. Architects Hallucinate 9. Disconnect Me 10. The Perfect Embodiment 11. A Gentle Disease 12. Follow the Crossed Line 13. As Above, So Below
