POYNTE Release "Take Control" Video & Tour

Atlanta-based rockers POYNTE (Pronounced Point) have released a music video shot entirely in 4k for their track, "Take Control". The track is the 2nd single from their debut full-length album 'Discreet Enemy', which is now available on iTunes. The video, which originally premiered with REVOLVER Magazine, was directed by Andrew Burn (Almost Kings/DJ Holiday/Avenue Of The Giants).

POYNTE are also proud to announce a month-long tour with headliners Screaming For Silence and their bearded brethren in Guns Out At Sundown.

POYNTE is riding an incredible wave of independent success onto a tour that features 2015 Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands Rock on the Range winners, Screaming For Silence. The tour will see POYNTE hitting the Midwest and the East Coast with 2015 tour mates Guns Out At Sundown. Both POYNTE and Guns Out At Sundown were on tour with Trapt and Sons of Texas in 2015. They forged a great musical relationship and both bands knew immediately that a tour together was someday inevitable.

BOY JUMPS SHIP REVEAL NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO + TOUR WITH PATENT PENDING

British four-piece BOY JUMPS SHIP have debuted the video for ‘Lost & Found’. The track is the second single to be taken from the band’s forthcoming first full-length ‘Wake Up’, which is due for release via AMAZING RECORD CO on April 22nd.

Check out the video here:

"Our second single ‘Lost & Found’ is one of my favourite songs from the album and has been working great live. We nicknamed it 'Party Song' before it was given a name as it just makes you want to dance and jump up and down" – Si Todd

"We are really excited about the video for our new single Lost & Found. We went down to Manchester to shoot it, the location was really cool and had a real gritty feel to it, we love that. The song is really energetic and we felt it was really important that the video captured that energy and the spirit of the song overall, it certainly does that and we can't wait for people to see it." - Gav Gates

Hailing from the North-East of England, BOY JUMPS SHIP have gained a reputation for their energetic, passionate and exuberant live performances up and down the country and around Europe. Touring with the likes of Only Rivals, Young Guns, Arcane Roots and We Are The Ocean to name a few, as well as the UK leg of the 2015 VANS WARPED TOUR, audiences found themselves instantly connecting with their unavoidably addictive, massive melodic choruses and heavy-hitting riffs.

‘Wake Up’ is released via AMAZING RECORD CO on 22nd April.

AL JOURGENSEN discusses making music without his Ministry comrades

MINISTRY main man Al Jourgensen's new project, SURGICAL METH MACHINE, inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records for their debut album recently. The self-titled offering, which was recorded primarily at Jourgensen's home studio in Burbank, California with his longtime engineer Sam D'Ambruoso, will be released on April 15th worldwide. In support of the forthcoming album, Al has recorded a series of album trailers, with the third one being posted online today. Watch as he discusses the drumming on the new album, working on music without his Ministry comrades and more:

Listen to new track, 'Tragic Alert':

Al commented: "I hope you enjoy this soundtrack to the New World Order...you should, y'all helped create it!"

The track list for 'Surgical Meth Machine' racks up as follows:

01. I'm Sensitive 02. Tragic Alert 03. I Want More 04. Rich People Problems 05. I Don't Wanna 06. Smash And Grab 07. Unlistenable 08. Gates Of Steel 09. Spudnik 10. Just Go Home 11. Just Keep Going 12. I'm Invisible

In an October 2015 interview with In The Loop magazine, Jourgensen stated about how the idea for SURGICAL METH MACHINE came about: "You know, [guitarist] Mikey [Scaccia] died a couple of years ago, from MINISTRY, and I just figured, like, nah, it's time to quit. I don't want to have John Bonham's kid playing drums for us and having replacement parts forever; that's just not my scene. So I just figured, 'All right, let's stop this. Let's do some other stuff.' And not only that. I found that it was really unburdensome to not have the MINISTRY moniker or expectations and just do something like whatever the fuck we want. I mean, the band's name is SURGICAL METH MACHINE. It's not like we're gonna be on Top 40 radio and on 'The Voice' and 'American Idol'. [Laughs]"

He continued: "I understand it's not a real commercial project for us, it's not gonna put bank in my wallet, but it was a lot of fun to do, in that sense — of just not having the constraints of the expectations of what you've done for twenty years. So this is… It's kind of new stuff. It's pretty cool. It sounds like kind of MINISTRY, but it's a different level. It's like I literally just put my foot on the gas pedal for this record."

ccording to Jourgensen, the sound of SURGICAL METH MACHINE's debut release leans heavily on the aggressive side, but fans can also expect to hear a few surprises. "There's a couple of real poppy things on there, which brings me full circle, because, literally, I don't give a fuck anymore", he said. "So I'm actually almost acknowledging that first horrible pop record I did in 1983. I'm crooning on some songs, I've got some pop songs on there, and then there's just brutal assault for the rest of it. It's a very dichotomous record, but it's me, and I'm acknowledging everything that's been me through, like, the last 35 years. Let's just throw my balls on the table and hope somebody doesn't have a meat cleaver running."

Lizzy Borden signs solo artist deal with Metal Blade Records worldwide

Lizzy Borden has spent over three decades creating some of the most theatrical metal in existence, releasing classics such as Love You to Pieces (1985) and Master of Disguise (1989), while obliterating audiences worldwide with a stage show that rivals that of Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper. For his efforts, he has become nothing short of a metal icon. Now, to take the next step in furthering his career, Lizzy Borden has signed a worldwide solo artist deal with Metal Blade Records - the label that helped to launch him to commercial success over 30 years ago. Ready to once again captivate both veteran and adolescent metal fans alike, Lizzy Borden plans to release a new album in 2016 and tour the world in support of it, with a reinvigorated band backing him up.

Lizzy Borden comments:

"I am extremely happy to re-sign with the same label we started with all those years ago (Metal Blade Records). I'm excited to be working with Brian Slagel and all the Metal Blade family again. It's been my home for all six of our (full-length) studio albums - with the new record being the seventh, and the start of a new series of albums to come. My focus for the last several years has been performing live and exposing my brand of American metal to countries all over the world. Now I feel is the right time to step back and push the re-start button. Time to get back to the art of creating new music. Touring around the world and having new fans discover Lizzy Borden for the first time has been rejuvenating, and so a new album seems like the perfect way to bridge the past with the future. I will take this part of my journey and these next series of albums as a solo artist, as I have for some of the past LB records and tours. I look forward to working with many different established musicians and friends, as well as some undiscovered talent like we have been lucky enough to unearth in the past. To all of our fans that have followed Lizzy Borden from the beginning and all the new younger fans who have just discovered us, I hope you will come along with me for this next chapter. I am inspired, excited and ready to begin again. @realLizzyborden"
