LIONS LIONS Find Inner Groove in "Winter" Music Video
Boston, MA - Rock quintet LIONS LIONS has debuted a new music video for their song "Winter" via Alternative Press. The song was produced by Chris Piquette of the band Trophy Wives at No Boundaries Studios, and the dance-fueled video was directed by Julian Mazzola and Lions Lions guitarist Brandon Davis.
"In comparison to some of our older material, 'Winter' is quite different," says Davis. "As the primary song writer for Lions Lions, I tend to focus on writing energetic yet melodic chord progressions to allow Josh to sing catchy melodies over. With "Winter", Although the song carries some decent energy, that was not my ultimate goal. I went into creating this song with one thing in mind, being as groovy as possible. I am very happy how it came out. I feel that I successfully reached my inner groove."

Rex Shachath Post New Video 'Colossus Rise'
Northern Irish death metallers Rex Shachath have posted a new video for 'Colossus Rise', a track taken from their latest opus Revocation Of The Blood Elect, which was released via French label Great Dane Records last November.
Watch 'Colossus Rise' here:
'Colossus Rise' is the final track on Revocation Of The Blood Elect and was inspired by Hindu deities Shiva and Brahma. Vocalist Dave Connolly comments, "I wanted to tell a story from a creators viewpoint looking at the world today and how everything created can also be destroyed. The underlying message is that humanity is plundering resources above and beyond what can be sustained... and ultimately, unless things change, we may be creating things to benefit life today but it comes at an even greater cost. Creation will be our own demise. Earth will remain as it has done for many, many years, but we are quickly creating mankind's end."
Artwork (as seen above), was completed by UK artist Godmachine famed for his work with bands such as Suicide Silence, Bring Me The Horizon, Cannibal Corpse and Job For A Cowboy to name a few. The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by Joe Thompson at Sonic Forge Studio, Cardiff, Wales.

About One Morning Left:
One Morning Left is gearing up to release their third full-length album, entitled Metalcore Superstars, after making their fans wait for almost three years from their 2013 album Our Sceneration. Time hasn’t changed or matured the band too much since One Morning Left is still what fans are used to; melodic metalcore with a hint of electronic dance music and a tongue-in-cheek feel. However, this time the members are a bit more aggressive.
After the release of Our Sceneration, One Morning Left pretty much continued where they left before entering the studio. The band toured around Europe a quite bit playing shows with bands like Adept, F*ckface Unstoppable (Bam Margera), Protect The Hero, and We Butter The Bread With Butter. This helped One Morning Left to gain lots of new fans, drunken tour stories, and bruises. The band took time off from the road and entered a song writing mode in early 2014. Ultimately it took two years of hard work to get the new album written, recorded, and finished. In 2016, they will return to the stages with a brand new album that will definitely please their old fans and confuse the new ones. One Morning Left is the most "Heavy Metal Finland” as it gets.

About Digitalife:
Digitalife was formed August 2007 as an industrial metalcore project founded by brothers Martin and Gabriel before new members Joel and Victor Hugo joined. After a good reception from their local scene, the band was almost ended when three of the members left at the end of 2011 to start their own projects. Victor Hugo, the only member left, quickly went to work recruiting new members Tazz, Core, Nico, Decay, and Cliff. In the middle of 2012, the band had a very soft release of Nemesis. The EP marked the first material with the band's new electronica metalcore style, that the band kept fine tuning while playing many shows throughout 2013 and the first part of 2014. On July 17th, 2014 it was announced that the band signed to Imminence Records to give Nemesis a proper release. After a member change during the middle of 2015, the band is set to release their new album in early 2016.

Rotten Sound release first track and details of new album
Finnish grindcore extremists ROTTEN SOUND are premiering the first short sharp crusher taken form their forthcoming album 'Abuse to Suffer', which has been scheduled for worldwide release on March 18th.
ROTTEN SOUND comment: "Our first track starts with an intro by our friend Heikki Järvi, who also did the samples for 'Exit' in 2004. We did not ask for anything specific, but somehow the disturbing sounds he created are setting the exactly right mood for this song, which is one of the most aggressive tracks on our new album. Even by our standards, 'Lazy Asses' kicks in pretty explosively: fast guitars, blasting drums and an opening grunt, which was strongly influenced by the beginning of the 'Brain Corrosion' album by Dead Infection. It is Sami's song, who openly admits that the idea for this grunting stems from our Polish friends, and I recall that he used their scream on the original demo. Everything about 'Lazy Asses' revolves around grind and that is the reason why we placed it at the start although there are other ingredients on this album. The title is pointing a finger at the ultimate waste of money and time: free-riders in the politics. I am sure everyone can easily name a few of them."
ROTTEN SOUND are furthermore revealing the artwork and tracklist of 'Abuse to Suffer', which can both be viewed below.
Tracklisting
1. Lazy Asses 2. Intellect 3. Fear of Shadows 4. Trashmonger 5. Crooked 6. Time for the Fix 7. Slave to the Rats 8. Brainwashed 9. Cannon Fodder 10. Yellow Pain 11. Machine 12. The Clerk 13. Caged 14. Retaliation 15. Inhumane Treatment 16. Extortion and Blackmail
ROTTEN SOUND are back and angrier than ever. Grindcore is not for the faint of heart and these Finns do not subscribe to the idea of compromise. 'Abuse to Suffer' remains true to the band's resilient roots, while not falling into the traps of chewing endlessly on an old formula gone stale or not daring to add an element of surprise when fitting the style. What sets ROTTEN SOUND apart from other protagonists in the field is an obvious intelligence that shows in their to-the-point songwriting, arrangements, and subtle inclusion of choice death metal elements in their massive sound.
ROTTEN SOUND were conceived in the city of Vaasa, Finland by guitarist Mika Aalto in 1993, who was soon joined by vocalist Keijo Niinimaa. This duo remains in place as the only original members – yet drummer Sami Latva and Kristian Toivainen on bass have meanwhile been steady members for many years as well. The Finns can proudly look back at an impressive catalogue of six highly acclaimed studio albums, seven EPs, three split singles, a single and a live DVD. Furthermore ROTTEN SOUND hit the stages of major metal and hardcore oriented festivals and toured in regular intervals alongside such renowned acts as NASUM, PHOBIA, DISFEAR, CARCASS, MUNICIPAL WASTE, EXHUMED, NAPALM DEATH, and PIG DESTROYER among many others.
With 'Abuse to Suffer', ROTTEN SOUND are hammering out an album that equally acknowledges the band's celebrated past as well as breaking into some new harsh ground that keeps the fire burning.

Alesana Share "Hiatus" from Acoustic Compilation
Raleigh, NC) - Raleigh based record label Revival Recordings (owned by Shawn Milke of Alesana) has recently announced they will release an acoustic compilation album featuring it's entire roster on January 29th called It's All Acoustic. Most of us were teenagers when we started this band and now we are grown men with families and new desires to explore fresh pursuits and challenges. Alesana is such a large part of who and what we are and this song is a recognition that all things, no matter how wonderful, eventually change and transform; but we can't allow ourselves to forget the journey and how important, and fun, it was getting here."

OCEANS OF SLUMBER unveil video for 'Suffer The Last Bridge'
OCEANS OF SLUMBER, the genre defying Texan quintet have delivered yet another dose of dark, boundless progressive metal with the release of their brand new video for the track, 'Suffer The Last Bridge', which is taken off their forthcoming Century Media debut, Winter.
Plunge head first into the unimaginable depths of self awareness in all its gloom and beauty here:
Living is an imperfect consequence of being born. We are fallible creatures and we must adapt and learn to overcome our fear of living. Suffer the Last Bridge is the call to embrace your imperfections and walk away from the things you can't change. The video follows Cammie on a contemplative journey through the beautiful Texas landscapes we call home. It's her journey to a place of realization and the acceptance of change and loss. And eventually finds her walking away from the unavoidable consequence of being alive. Musically we wanted to write a huge arena style melodic metal song. Combining all the elements of what we do into this brief glimpse of a larger story. An Etude. A picture. We have many directions to take and many more surprises for you.” Describes OCEANS OF SLUMBER drummer Dobber Beverly on the meaning behind the music.
Winter is slated for a worldwide release on March 4, 2016, however digital pre-orders are now available.

KETZER (German for "heretic") spent two months in the studio during the summer of 2015, recording their third album, 'Starless'. From sounds of raging fury, to the echoes of calm and cleansing waves, 'Starless' is a record that will take you on a journey that is unexpected, yet familiar at the same time. Thematically, the band explores the idea of religion v. reality-- is there a truth in between? KETZER explains, "Centuries ago, humankind looked up into the star-filled night skies, questioning the universe and their lives within it. In order to find answers, mythology was born. But religion and myths cannot connect to the world we live in today. They have blinded the night skies - hence, we have become 'starless'."

MANTAR - 'Ode To The Flame' Release Date
Northern Germany's infernal extreme metal duo Mantar have announced the worldwide release date for the band's forthcoming album:
‘Ode To The Flame’ will be out on April 15th via Nuclear Blast.
The band commented:
"The title ‘Ode To The Flame’ is chosen in tradition of the debut record, ‘Death By Burning’ to maintain the cleansing power of fire as the key theme. Fire is able to reset anything and will erase this planet one day from any plague that's been around. Furthermore it's obviously an ode to passion and iron will. ‘Ode To The Flame’ isn't dramatic, it's drastic. By all means."
Watch the official in-studio video teaser here:
Ever since their inception in 2013 and the release of their first album in 2014 the band has been recognised as one of the hardest working in the German extreme metal underground. Melding the most sinister elements of styles like black metal, doom and punk, representing unfiltered pure primal rage, Mantar have proven to be one of a kind. Their extremely intense live shows have been seen all over the world and have blown away unaware audiences with their unconditionally tight and brutal performances. Mantar is a pure evil elemental force captured by only two uber passionate artists that strife for ultimate raw sonic power.

BURY TOMORROW - DANIEL WINTER-BATES DISCUSSES THE BAND'S 'TOP 5 THINGS OF 2016' IN NEW ALBUM TRAILER
BURY TOMORROW will release their fourth studio album Earthbound on January 29th and in anticipation of the new album, the band have been releasing a series of trailers via their YouTube channel. Today sees the release of the second trailer featuring vocalist Dani discussing the band's 'Top 5 things of 2016'. Watch here:
Trailer #1:
Dani commented about the album:
"With Earthbound, it's each individual track is a stand alone track. We did it on purpose to a point where we wanted to hit home so hard. With each each individual theme, with each individual riff, to the point of a snare hit - we wanted people to feel what we felt when we wrote each song. We were on the road when we wrote the songs. We were traveling around and we wanted people to feel that; we wanted people to almost emulate exactly what we do live into a record."
The Earthbound track list racks up as follows:
01. The Eternal 02. Last Light 03. Earthbound 04. The Burden 05. Cemetery 06. Restless & Cold 07. 301 (featuring HATEBREED's Jamey Jasta) 08. Memories 09. For Us 10. Bloodline
Earthbound certainly finds BT on a more concise form than ever before: ten tracks that get in, batter you across the face, and get out again with precious little time for respite or caught breath. Hardcore mentality for a metalcore generation.
“A big thing for us this time around was to get down to the real nitty gritty of what our fans wanted from us and how to give them without wasting a single second”, continues Dani. “With Earthbound we wanted pace, we wanted heaviness, and for me, personally, I wanted to write a record which was the sonic embodiment of a circle pit. I think we’ve done that.”
With notable influences ranging from axe-slinging new wave of American heavy metallers UNEARTH and DARKEST HOUR to the apoplectic fury of TERROR and MADBALL, this is one that will get the pit spinning with such ease.
Fans of the heavy stuff will still find plenty to grasp onto here, it’s the now trademark interplay between Dani and guitarist and vocalist Jason Cameron which sets Earthbound apart. “It’s much more mature in the interplay between me and Jason,” Dani notes. “We’ve been playing together for ten years now and it feels like we have an almost telepathic understanding of one another. We’ve always wanted to be like one vocalist in two parts and I think we’ve achieved that here.”
One listen to the sky-scraping euphoria of 'Last Light' or the call-to-arms swagger of the title track will tell you that Dani isn’t lying: monstrous anthems from a band who is coming of age as a truly astonishing force of musical nature. Elsewhere, the chastising punch of '301' sees HATEBREED's Jamey Jasta lending his iron lungs the shattering event.
“More than anything that song is about how our music belongs to our fans first, those first 301 people who run to Youtube who want to check it out and are excited about it. It’s kind of a "fuck you" to all those people who go ‘Bury Tomorrow aren’t proper metal’ or whatever. It’s Jamey fucking Jasta and I know our fans are going to love it.”
It’s that focus on their fan base which has made BT not only one of the best, but one of the most well-loved bands working in the UK today, and, in Dani, one of the most charismatic frontmen imaginable.
With Earthbound looming on the horizon, BURY TOMORROW’s fortunes look set to go through the roof and all the hard work pay off in spades..
“Where we are now is where we’ve always wanted to be”, smiles Dani. “And now we’re in the position to truly deliver on what we’ve promised so far. We aren’t going to let anyone down."
BELPHEGOR - 'Chapter XI' rehearsals have begun
Belphegor began their first rehearsal sessions for their new album last Tuesday in Abtenau, Salzburg (Austria).
Front man Helmuth Lehner commented:
"Magnificent nature covered in snow that has arrived in the mountains with -11 degrees [12 ºF] here and we're freezing our asses off. Just perfect for creating brutal sound collages. With this currently untitled album we will try to develop and bring everything to a new level, since I have the feeling this is the strongest recording line-up we've ever had. Regards to blood brother Barth Resch for the photo shoot."
Check out this exclusive clip of Belphegor playing 'Totenkult - Exegesis Of Deterioration' recorded live inside their ‘rehearsal bunker’. This scorching death/black metal track will be included on the upcoming album, scheduled for a late 2016, early 2017 release. Watch here:
Belphegor's new project will commence two-and-a-half years after the highly-acclaimed ‘Conjuring The Dead’ album, which was released via Nuclear Blast records in August 2014.
Since the release of Belphegor’s now legendary debut ‘The Last Supper’ in 1995, band founder Helmuth and his henchmen have relentlessly worked their way to the top with their technical proficiency, sophisticated song writing and truly blasphemous lyrics. Having now risen to iconic status in the art of supreme death/black metal, Belphegor continue to strengthen their craft as one of the most extreme line ups to ever come out of that scene.
The band members describing their hellride as ‘Supreme Death/ Black Metal Art‘.
Belphegor released their tenth studio album ‘Conjuring The Dead‘ in August 2014 – it is an opus that sees the band possessed, on fire and ready to conquer. Their ten latest song compositions unleashed a state of brutality that were yet unknown to mankind as soundscapes of a melodic monstrosity; forceful and fierce with razor sharp precision. The record has been described as a straight in-your-face onslaught with devastating string-slaughtering, blazing machine gun drums and the sickest vocals which exceeded even the sickness of any other Belphegor release to date.

UNWRITTEN LAW:
Formed in San Diego in the early 90's, Unwritten Law was a major part of the pop-punk movement that swept the decade with staple releases like Blue Room, Oz Factor, and Unwritten Law. It was in the late 90's that the band would tour the world on The Vans Warped Tour and spring them into their biggest release to date Elva. As the band developed through the early 00's they began honing in on the ever growing punk energy while featuring more of a rock sound which still remains present in their live shows to date. Today, the band has released seven full-length studio albums which sold over 2 million copies and released half-a-dozen radio hits including, "Seein' Red," and "Save Me (Wake Up Call)," both of which entered the top 5 in the US Modern Rock Charts.
CYBER TRACKS:
Cyber Tracks is a Los Angeles based record label founded by El Hefe (guitarist of NOFX) and wife Jen Abeyta. Cyber Tracks has the mentality "for artists, by artists" which promises to empower bands by allowing them to share control, revenue, master ownership, and decision making equally. Cyber Track's roster currently consists of Margate, Implants (featuring members of Strung Out, Ten Foot Pole, Pulley, and Death By Stereo), Warner Drive, Counterpunch, and most recently, This Legend.
Hardcore Mob Hiraeth Hit The Road In Support Of Lost In Despair
London based agro mob Hiraeth are set to hit the road in support of the stunning Lost In Despair for a fiery five date run, set to start in Cardiff on Feb 19th.
The band are set to play the following dates:
Feb 19th - The Bunker - Cardiff Feb 20th - Cobblestones - Bridgewater Feb 21st - The Lemon Factory - Swansea Feb 22nd - Sticky Mike's Frog Bar - Brighton Feb 23rd - The Unicorn - London
Hailing from the suburbs of London, Hiraeth wasted no time erupting onto the scene in 2015 with their stunning debut EP “The World Ends With You”. Quickly building a name for themselves in the underground Melodic Hardcore scene, and scoring solid reviews from the likes of Metal Hammer & Terrorizer.
Combining high energy onslaughts in the vain of Gallows, and infectious melodies, that stand beside bands such as While She Sleeps and Defeater; Hiraeth are certainly on the brink of captivating a deprived audience across the UK with their sonic battery.
With a new EP firmly in the wings, and more shows booked across the year, Hiraeth are looking to make even bigger waves in 2016. Watch this space.
