BABYMETAL TO FINALLY RELEASE SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM IN UK VIA EARMUSIC

BABYMETAL are one of the most powerful musical phenomena in the world today and they are taking the world by storm. Formed in Japan, the three girls known as SU-METAL, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL began their mission to unify the world through Heavy Metal in 2010. Backed and supported by some of the finest metal musicians their native land has to offer and grown from the seeds sown by band overseer KOBAMETAL, their self-titled debut album will finally be released in the UK on June 1st, 2015 on earMUSIC.

BABYMETAL is not just an invigorating introduction to its creator’s refined conceptual world and glorious tunes; it is also a fearsome statement of intent that takes the pop and metal rulebooks and sets them ablaze amid a whirlwind of euphoria and energy. The self-titled album is a dazzling and exhilarating explosion of thunderous modern metal and irresistible, infectious kawaii pop melodies. The infectious anthems range from the crunk-ified, party thrash of ‘line!’ to the widescreen power metal fury of ‘Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!’.

The album will be released as 1CD Standard Edition as well as a Limited CD+DVD Edition. Both versions include two bonus tracks: ‘Gimme Chocolate!!’ from their infamous, sold-out performance at the O2 Academy Brixton in London, and ‘Road of Resistance’ including the mighty guitar force of Herman Li and Sam Totman of Dragonforce. The DVD includes all of the band’s video clips. BABYMETAL’s success in their native country Japan led to Top 10 singles in the Oricon chart in Japan, performances at several major festivals in Japan, including Summer Sonic 2013 and two consecutive sold out nights at Tokyo’s legendary Budokan venue in March 2014, in front of 20,000 people.

Eventually, BABYMETAL’s reputation had crossed the globe and was beginning to make waves in Europe and America too. With video clips with over 25 million views, the band became a sudden and huge internet phenomenon, leaving pop and metal fans around the world in no doubt about the magic and might of this new musical force. BABYMETAL made their first world tour, traversing continents to perform at the celebrated Sonisphere festival in Knebworth, England (and won over a vast field of 65,000 diehard metalheads in the process), were invited by pop icon Lady Gaga to support her on her prestigious ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour in the US, and played various sold out shows throughout Europe and in New York.

With the public approval of such rock icons as Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett and Guns N’ Roses legend Slash who sang the band’s praises during a live radio interview, BABYMETAL entered 2015 as the hottest new band on planet Earth.

BABYMETAL will become one of the biggest acts of the 21st century. Irresistible, unstoppable and destined for greatness, BABYMETAL are metal’s saviours.

THE 69 EYES “The Best Of Helsinki Vampires” OUT: April 13, 2015 (UK)

Founded in the Finnish capital some 25 years ago, THE 69 EYES spawned a total of ten full- length records and an additional selection of live, best-of and re-mastered albums. With the release of their tenth and most current studio encounter »X« in 2012, vocalist and frontman Jyrki69 observes the bands’ resemblance with one certain masked superhero: “I just saw “The Dark Knight Rises” and realized that THE 69 EYES is like Batman: we always rise and return - our only mission being to save Gotham City and serve its people. Everybody else is gone, nobody does it better & someone's got to do it. So, sunglasses on and here we go again: the Helsinki Vampires are BACK!”

Looking back on such a vast legacy, THE 69 EYES have always managed to stay alive as a band, reinventing their distinct blend of Goth’n’Roll and keeping the same line-up ever since 1992, when Jussi69 replaced original drummer Lotto. The second peak of the Goth era in the late 90s/early 2000s saw the five-piece with some of its most acclaimed longplayers, »Wasting The Dawn« (1999), »Blessed Be« (2000) and »Paris Kills« (2002).

Entering 2015, THE 69 EYES just announced the release of »The Best Of Helsinki Vampires«, a full best-of collection, spanning a quarter of a century of band history. From the early days of fame with »Wrap Up You Troubles In Dreams« (1997), to the stardom of the latter years with »Devils« (2004) and »Back In Blood« (2009), »The Best Of Helsinki Vampires« features 28 tracks and will be out on April 10, 2015 via Nuclear Blast.
