Drowning Pool also just announced a string of headlining tour dates. Audiotopsy and Violent New Breed are serving as support.
Drowning Pool released Hellelujah on February 5, 2016 via Entertainment One Music (eOne). The band tapped renowned artist Brian Mercer (CHRIS CORNELL, LAMB OF GOD, HIGH ON FIRE) to design the cover art. Hellelujah is the follow up to Resilience, released in 2013. This time the band worked with producer Jason Suecof (AUGUST BURNS RED, DEICIDE, DEATH ANGEL) at the helm.
Drowning Pool have beaten the darkness and now they celebrate life on life’s terms. The core trio of C.J. Pierce (guitar), Stevie Benton (bass) and Mike Luce (drums) mine hardship, struggle and disappointment to emerge victorious each time, crafting empowering hard rock anthems. Drowning Pool songs conjure emotions that deeply connect with those who persevere against the odds and sacrifice to survive, and their music transcends boundaries of race, class and lifestyle as well, resonating with people from all walks of life who look to music to get them through life’s challenges.
Jasen Moreno’s powerful vocals enabled him to quickly master Drowning Pool’s dense catalog when he became the band’s frontman in 2012. From his reverent delivery of the late Dave Williams mosh-pit ready lyrics in the ubiquitous signature hit "Bodies” to his powerful take on Top 5 Active Rock hits like “Step Up” from Desensitized (2004), “37 Stitches” from Full Circle (2007), and “Feel Like I Do” (Drowning Pool, 2010).
German Electronic-Rock Duo BULLET HEIGHT Releases “Bastion” Lyric Video
Berlin-based electronic-rock duo BULLET HEIGHT, featuring Sammi Doll of IAMX and Jon Courtney of Pure Reason Revolution have launched a lyric video for their addictive new single, "Bastion." Directed by Valquire Veljkovic, the video can be seen here:
BULLET HEIGHT offered the following insight on the lyric video: "Working with Valquire Veljkovic was great. He was inspired by different glass shards in front of the lens to create live effects - He had so many ideas, it was brilliant to work with someone who understood the importance of introducing us visually for the first time as a new band. He really grabbed the right tone and vision while keeping the distinction between lyric and music video."
The single, "Bastion" is currently available digitally on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify, via Superball Music.
On the formation of the group, John previously commented: "I left London, moved to Berlin, rented a dirt-cheap room in an old DDR building & started battering out the music that would go on to become Bullet Height. I wanted to create something darker & heavier than ever before – I’d always written & produced in the past under no creative constraint & that has continued with this new band. From the first vocal session with Sammi I knew we were onto something…Superball caught wind of things…now here we are!"
Sammi added: "Jon and I met through producer Tom Bellamy at a dirty rock bar in Berlin on Halloween. He was looking for someone to collaborate on his new music, we met up a few days later and it became clear that this would turn into something much bigger than expected. It was exactly the release I needed at the time and became a bit of personal therapy."

‘First Light’ Switched On: Leeds Alt Rockers Day Old Hate Release Sophomore EP
“First Light marks a new beginning for Day Old Hate. Before we seemed to be stuck in a rut of bad habits and even worse luck, but this EP represents us reaching the end of that period in a kind of ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ scenario,” remarks Oliver Swift, vocalist of the Leeds anthemic rock quintet, on their newly released sophomore EP. Born from the same musical genepool as fellow countrymen Mallory Knox, Lower Than Atlantis and Young Guns, Day Old Hate – completed by guitarists Ben Fletcher and Will Smith, bassist Josh Flynn and drummer/backing vocalist Ed Dennis - load their songs with roaring, satisfyingly chunky rhythmn guitar, bursts of sparkling lead guitar toplines and soaring vocal refrains that feel instantly familiar, in the best way possible.
“We wanted to write better songs then we ever had before,” says Swift of First Light’s creative inception; “Making brave decisions and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone was a must; it was an intense experience - we pushed ourselves to write the best Rock record we could. Overall, it feels like a more authentic representation of Day Old Hate than anything that’s come before.”
Discussing the outlook of Day Old Hate, Swift states: “A lot of people don’t understand what being in a band and creating music is about. Many think a band is just a group of guys who aspire to be celebrities, but we do this because we are a strong group of friends who love to make music, and because the feeling of people singing lyrics you wrote back at you is better than anything.” On the evidence of Day Old Hate’s newest release, the amount of people singing Swift’s lyrics back at him and his bandmates is going to be on a steady increase.
Day Old Hate ‘First Light’ Track Listing:
1. First Light 2. Secrets 3. Fifteen 4. Minutes, Hours, Days 5. Don’t Chase Me
Currently Confirmed Live Dates:
Feb 15th- Newcastle, Head of Steam Feb 16th- Manchester, Factory Feb 17th- Norwich, B2 Feb 18th- High Wycombe, Phoenix Bar Feb 19th- London, Black Heart Feb 20th- Leeds, The Key Club

The self-titled offering, which was recorded primarily at Jourgensen's home studio in Burbank, California with his longtime engineer Sam D'Ambruoso, will be released on April 15th worldwide. Al commented: "I hope you enjoy this soundtrack to the New World Order...you should, y'all helped create it!"
Pre-order Surgical Meth Machine on Limited Edition Neon Pink Vinyl exclusively from the Nuclear Blast UK store: >a href="http://bit.ly/SurgicalMethVinyl">HERE.
The track list for 'Surgical Meth Machine' racks up as follows:
01. I'm Sensitive 02. Tragic Alert 03. I Want More 04. Rich People Problems 05. I Don't Wanna 06. Smash And Grab 07. Unlistenable 08. Gates Of Steel 09. Spudnik 10. Just Go Home 11. Just Keep Going 12. I'm Invisible
In an October 2015 interview with In The Loop magazine, Jourgensen stated about how the idea for SURGICAL METH MACHINE came about: "You know, [guitarist] Mikey [Scaccia] died a couple of years ago, from MINISTRY, and I just figured, like, nah, it's time to quit. I don't want to have John Bonham's kid playing drums for us and having replacement parts forever; that's just not my scene. So I just figured, 'All right, let's stop this. Let's do some other stuff.' And not only that. I found that it was really unburdensome to not have the MINISTRY moniker or expectations and just do something like whatever the fuck we want. I mean, the band's name is SURGICAL METH MACHINE. It's not like we're gonna be on Top 40 radio and on 'The Voice' and 'American Idol'. [Laughs]"
He continued: "I understand it's not a real commercial project for us, it's not gonna put bank in my wallet, but it was a lot of fun to do, in that sense — of just not having the constraints of the expectations of what you've done for twenty years. So this is… It's kind of new stuff. It's pretty cool. It sounds like kind of MINISTRY, but it's a different level. It's like I literally just put my foot on the gas pedal for this record."
According to Jourgensen, the sound of SURGICAL METH MACHINE's debut release leans heavily on the aggressive side, but fans can also expect to hear a few surprises. "There's a couple of real poppy things on there, which brings me full circle, because, literally, I don't give a fuck anymore", he said. "So I'm actually almost acknowledging that first horrible pop record I did in 1983. I'm crooning on some songs, I've got some pop songs on there, and then there's just brutal assault for the rest of it. It's a very dichotomous record, but it's me, and I'm acknowledging everything that's been me through, like, the last 35 years. Let's just throw my balls on the table and hope somebody doesn't have a meat cleaver running."
