Electric Citizen stream 'Misery Keeper', UK tour with Orange Goblin

Electric Citizen, the Cincinnati-based four-piece already confirmed as main support on the forthcoming Wolfmother tour which takes place across Europe during April & May 2016 have announced further dates as special guests to Orange Goblin in October.

The band are also premiering the track 'Misery Keeper' with METAL HAMMER MAGAZINE now.

'Misery Keeper is taken from the forthcoming album 'Higher Time' released, via the RidingEasy label on May 6th in Europe & May 13th in North America.

Like its predecessor, Higher Time was recorded at The Diamonds studio in Cincinnati by Brian Olive (The Greenhornes, Dan Auerbach, Dr. John, etc.), and in search of an even more expansive feel, Laura, Ross and Brian traveled to mix the album alongside Black Keys engineer Collin Dupuis at Easy Eye in Nashville, TN. The results speak for themselves. In Laura’s performance and in the multi-faceted approach of Ross alongside bassist Randy Proctor and drummer Nate Wagner, Electric Citizen branch out with stage-born assurance across a collection of definitive rock ‘n’ roll. It is a bold, complete sound that sacrifices nothing of the band’s on-stage energy and clearly demonstrates that while their progression has been quick, it’s been hard won the traditional way: They worked their collective ass off.

HELHORSE UNVEIL NEW VIDEO FOR ‘HELL OF A RIDE’ – LEAD SINGLE FROM NEW SELF-TITLED ALBUM, SET FOR RELEASE VIA SPINEFARM RECORDS ON MAY 13th

As we approach the May 13th release of the anxiously awaited new album from Denmark's fiercest purveyors of sludgy rock, HELHORSE, the band proudly unveils their new video for pulse-pounding lead track, "Hell of a Ride".

Produced and edited by Plastickid, shot by Theis Mortensen and staged in a simple setting, the video shows that, really, sometimes all you need to make a point is a band in peak form (“sounding like the bastard child of Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy”), plus a bunch of rowdy friends. Simply, the song fully lives up to its title, bursting at the seams with ominous, explosive energy, and leaving the listener / viewer with the overriding urge to break something. Anything.

BLACK FOXXES reveal the first single/video for 'Husk', taken from upcoming album

The first track to be taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album due out later this year. Black Foxxes have already toured with Lower Than Atlantis, Mooseblood, as well as a heart-stopping performance at Reading & Leeds Festival. They will shortly be supporting Nothing But Thieves on their UK tour.

Their initial self-released EP gained many plaudits including spins at Radio 1 from Jen & Ally, Daniel P Carter, and Phil Taggart. The sound is raw, emotional and delivered with an infectious passion that makes this band stand out in a sea of beige, with a nod to Brand New, Jeff Buckley, early Radiohead & Neil Young’s Crazy Horse.

In the spring of 2015 the band signed to Search & Destroy Records / UMG. They have completed recording of the debut album between London and their native Devon. It will be a highlight of 2016.

Young Guns announce US tour dates appearing on Vans Warped Tour this Summer

After a year spent touring back and forth between the United Kingdom and United States, Young Guns kept busy in 2015, playing to packed out venues worldwide and touring with acts like Three Days Grace, Black Stone Cherry and Breaking Benjamin - not to mention doing the rounds on the US festival circuit, appearing at Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion and more.

Today, the band are pleased to announce they will make their return to the States this Summer, appearing on the Vans Warped Tour. POYNTE Release "Take Control" Video & Tour

Atlanta-based rockers POYNTE (Pronounced Point) have released a music video shot entirely in 4k for their track, "Take Control". The track is the 2nd single from their debut full-length album 'Discreet Enemy', which is now available on iTunes. The video, which originally premiered with REVOLVER Magazine, was directed by Andrew Burn (Almost Kings/DJ Holiday/Avenue Of The Giants).



POYNTE are also proud to announce a month-long tour with headliners Screaming For Silence and their bearded brethren in Guns Out At Sundown.

POYNTE is riding an incredible wave of independent success onto a tour that features 2015 Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands Rock on the Range winners, Screaming For Silence. AL JOURGENSEN discusses making music without his Ministry comrades

MINISTRY main man Al Jourgensen's new project, SURGICAL METH MACHINE, inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records for their debut album recently. The self-titled offering, which was recorded primarily at Jourgensen's home studio in Burbank, California with his longtime engineer Sam D'Ambruoso, will be released on April 15th worldwide. In support of the forthcoming album, Al has recorded a series of album trailers, with the third one being posted online today. In an October 2015 interview with In The Loop magazine, Jourgensen stated about how the idea for SURGICAL METH MACHINE came about: "You know, [guitarist] Mikey [Scaccia] died a couple of years ago, from MINISTRY, and I just figured, like, nah, it's time to quit. I don't want to have John Bonham's kid playing drums for us and having replacement parts forever; that's just not my scene. So I just figured, 'All right, let's stop this. Let's do some other stuff.' And not only that. I found that it was really unburdensome to not have the MINISTRY moniker or expectations and just do something like whatever the fuck we want. I mean, the band's name is SURGICAL METH MACHINE. It's not like we're gonna be on Top 40 radio and on 'The Voice' and 'American Idol'. [Laughs]"

He continued: "I understand it's not a real commercial project for us, it's not gonna put bank in my wallet, but it was a lot of fun to do, in that sense — of just not having the constraints of the expectations of what you've done for twenty years. So this is… It's kind of new stuff. It's pretty cool. It sounds like kind of MINISTRY, but it's a different level. It's like I literally just put my foot on the gas pedal for this record."

ccording to Jourgensen, the sound of SURGICAL METH MACHINE's debut release leans heavily on the aggressive side, but fans can also expect to hear a few surprises. "There's a couple of real poppy things on there, which brings me full circle, because, literally, I don't give a fuck anymore", he said. "So I'm actually almost acknowledging that first horrible pop record I did in 1983. I'm crooning on some songs, I've got some pop songs on there, and then there's just brutal assault for the rest of it. It's a very dichotomous record, but it's me, and I'm acknowledging everything that's been me through, like, the last 35 years. Let's just throw my balls on the table and hope somebody doesn't have a meat cleaver running."
