Valerie Gentile returns with new single “F**k Yes”
Brooklyn NY // February 10, 2015 – Industrial pop-rock star Valerie Gentile partnered up with ReGen Magazine to host an exclusive pre-release stream of her single "Fuck Yes" (HERE). Today she made the new brash and bold single available for purchase and download via Bandcamp! Being the first new material released since Val's 2013 debut EP 'Love Is Luxury', Gentile showcases a forward movement in energy and sound.
Leaning heavily into it's electronic and industrial-pop influences, "Fuck Yes" was originally composed by Shane Allen Hall (The Break Up) who shared the track with Gentile last summer. “I was home alone, about to get married and the thought of growing up continued to freak me out,” Gentile shared. “I had high expectations coming from my families and my job to become a real adult, whatever that means! Shane sent me this song to work on and I thought it was such a cool track! He had titled it 'Fuck Yes', so I worked that into the chorus. It seemed like a really positive statement.”
At the time, Valerie was focused on her upcoming marriage and to-be husband, which allowed the lyrics to naturally flow, concluding with a finished product in one day. Shortly after, Gentile turned to her now husband and talented musician, Abbey Nex (Combichrist) for assistance in finishing the track. Nex contributed guitar and synths to the track allowing it to be fleshed into it's full form. Both were featured in Gentile's recent video for her song "Danger" off 'Love Is Luxury'.

Biography: Valerie Gentile is one of goth and industrial music's most prominent guitarists of recent vintage. Gentile's new solo work follows on a long career of touring and recording with such luminaries as The Crüxshadows, Angelspit, and Black Tape for a Blue Girl. Her 2013 debut solo EP, "Love Is Luxury", swims comfortably between classic goth-rock and modern industrial dance, with dark new wave-tinged songwriting and sharp alto vocals throughout.
