Sergeant Steel recorded Hip Hop album with Michael Wagener



Austrian band Sergeant Steel doesn’t play Hard Rock anymore. The sextette wants to release Hip Hop music instead. They are supported by legendary producer Michael Wagener. Linz/Austria, Nashville/Tennessee/USA –Michael Wagener made music history. The German-American produced and engineered for Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Skid Row and many others. He also worked on „Black Cat“ (1990), a single by RnB superstar Janet Jackson. His profile perfectly meets the new needs of Sergeant Steel. They found an experienced mentor for moving into a new musical direction. Sergeant Steel now counts on rap instead of rock, a necessary next step to bring their career back on track.

The mini documentary „The all new Sergeant Steel recording Hip Hop album w/ Michael Wagener“ allows an exclusive view behind-the-scenes including a personal statement of Wagener. It reveals the key moments of a musical transition: Away from distorted guitar sounds, towards gangsta rhymes and turntable scratches.
