ZEBRAHEAD ANNOUNCE BRAND NEW STUDIO ALBUM ‘WALK THE PLANK’
ALBUM SET FOR RELEASE OCTOBER 13 VIA RUDE RECORDS
Ahead of their UK headline tour this winter, pop punk heroes Zebrahead have today unveiled details of a new full-length studio album called ‘Walk The Plank’ , set for release through Rude Records on October 13th.
The album of heavy punk mixed with hooky pop songs was recorded in Buzzbomb Studios, Orange County with long time friend and old writing, recording and touring partner of band member Dan, Paul Miner.
On the album’s title, Ben Ozz comments:
“Touring all the time and traveling can be a bit of a pirate's sort of life so it fits in that sense. So in a way to us it's about taking a chance in life and walking the plank of life. It could also just be too much rum in the Mai Tai also but that's another story!”
He continues... “It's one of our best sounding records to date! We wanted it to sound like you're in an arm wrestling competition at the beach while doing a keg stand! Hopefully it'll take you on that journey before the ice in your cocktail melts!”
The first taste of what’s to come can be seen in the form of this lyric video for ‘Save Your Breath’…
‘Walk The Plank’ follows the recent split EP ‘Out Of Control’ with Man With A Mission that impressively charted at number 1 in the Japanese iTunes rock chart and number 2 in the overall physical chart for the whole country.

Fort Lean release banger "Might've Misheard"
The five gentlemen who bring the Fort to life met a decade ago at the famously freewheeling site of institutional discovery called Wesleyan University. With two early EPs under their belts, the band earned glowing reviews in The New York Times and support slots opening for HAIM, Future Islands, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra- not to mention love from blogosphere tastemakers like Stereogum and Consequence of Sound.
Today, the Brooklyn-based band satisfy fans with a new track, "Easily" taken from their special "New Hobbies EP." Fans can purchase the exclusive EP at indie record stores in September and from the band directly while out on tour.
Fresh off national tours with Chappo, Yukon Blonde and Dave Monks (Tokyo Police Club), Fort Lean are gearing up to unleash the next installment from the fort - their debut LP, Quiet Day due October 2, 2015 via Ooh La La Records. The album is a collision of moods and tones, approachable and ambitious but delivered with a sideways subtlety. The collective songwriting is cohesive yet contains the disparate perspectives of its five writers. This is versatile stuff, appropriate for a crowd at a party or for the introspective head phoner.

Rock Legends ANVIL Offer Once-In-A-Lifetime PledgeMusic Fan Opportunities
Canadian cult metal act ANVIL is back! Striving to bypass the labels that have stood between the band and fans for years, ANVIL is creating their new record Anvil Is Anvil with a direct-to-fan approach in mind. Recently, the band teamed up with PledgeMusic to assure that fan connection, but unlike other crowdsourcing campaigns put forth by bands in the hopes of amassing a recording budget, ANVIL’s campaign strives to do so while truly providing fans with unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences and personal, one-on-one opportunities that they will never forget.
ANVIL’s 2009 movie documentary, The Story Of Anvil made them famous the world over. Their albums are considered landmarks among a musical genre. Their 2011 release, Juggernaut Of Justice, and their 2013 release, Hope In Hell, were powerful and unrelenting.
Anvil Is Anvil will be their most potent yet, and feature guitarist/vocalist Steve ‘Lips’ Kudlow, drummer Robb Reiner, and new bassist Chris Robertson in top form. Featuring no concessions to short-lived trends and no modern frills, the brand new ANVIL record will feature traditional metal at its finest with massive classic rock elements – a sound that ANVIL fans love and deserve.
ANVIL and PledgeMusic are offering fans a chance to get up close and personal with the band, access exclusive content and be a part of a truly unique fan-to-band experience. With every pre-order, pledgers will get the AccessPass which will give them exclusive looks at behind the scenes videos, photos and messages from the band. Fans will also have several once in a lifetime opportunities to purchase:

Guitarist and vocalist Steve ‘Lips’ Kudlow statesm “We are proud to announce to our fans that they can keep in personal touch with the band and be directly involved in the process of creating the next ANVIL album. This will be the first time that we’ve used a pre-sales platform and we are fully confident that getting closer to our fans through making the album will take the making of it and the final album to somewhere fantastic. Considering that almost anyone aware of ANVIL knows our long and sometimes brutal history, we’re hoping you would be honored to help and prove us right in our belief in you… and we promise another top notch ANVIL recording that we can enjoy for many years into the future.”
Antimatter to release 'The Judas Table'
"Anybody who has ever suffered from betrayal can relate to this album", Antimatter-mainman Mick Moss states self-consciously about his most recent work, 'The Judas Table'. "I'm singing about my experiences, but I'm a firm believer that they are everybody else's experiences as well."
Throughout his life, Moss has repeatedly experienced disappointment on a personal level along with the self-doubt that goes with it. The deficiencies of human behaviour and social life have always been the proverbial red thread through his lyrics, but prior to 'The Judas Table', a critical limit was exceeded for Moss. On Antimatter's sixth album, he accounts for different personal conflicts with an unusual, almost scientific poignancy and is harder on people from his immediate surroundings than ever, yet also on himself: "For 'The Judas Table' I gather together the various personalities of the people who's callous and disrespectful, backstabbing actions caused me countless wasted years of depression", he resumes. "For years I thought the problem was with me. I was always open and tried my best, but was nevertheless used and betrayed many times. This led me to believe I was worthless and must have deserved it. Now I realise the problem was with the clinically psychologically soulless people who treated me that way due to their nature, not mine."
The liberating and empowering conceptual approach is also reflected in the music. 'The Judas Table' just like "Leaving Eden" and "Fear Of A Unique Identity" is essentially appealing due to its intense blend of melancholic Art Rock, dark melencholia and introspective acoustic pieces, but as a whole seems less nervous and restless than earlier records. The new Antimatter record appears to be calm and attests to a so far unfamiliar inner peace, an equilibrium found - a hint at the fact that Moss might have overcome his torturing demons?
