MELECHESH - Band reveals new track 'Multiple Truths' online

MELECHESH | Band reveals new track 'Multiple Truths' online

Pioneers of Sumerian thrashing black metal, MELECHESH, are streaming new track 'Multiple Truths' online now! The song is taken from the band's forthcoming album, Enki, which is due to be released on the 2nd of March via Nuclear Blast.

The follow-up to 2010's masterpiece ‘The Epigenesis’ marks the band's sixth full-length album and will feature iconic guests Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, KILLER BE KILLED), Sakis Tolis (ROTTING CHRIST) and Rob Caggiano (VOLBEAT, ex-ANTHRAX).

Singer, songwriter and main man Ashmed commented: "I am flattered and honoured to have esteemed guests appear on this multifaceted album. ‘Enki’ solicited different approaches and new experiences. Max is a lion - I love his voice and the tribal and historic parallels of our lives are uncanny, he did an amazing job on 'Lost Tribes'. Sakis is an old friend and we toured together in the past. His voice added another dimension of mysticism on our 'Enki - Divine Nature Awoken'. Rob and I always wanted to collaborate and he is an agile and excellent guitar player so the lead he did on 'The Palm, the Eye and Lapis Lazuli' was perfect , it rocks and serves the track well. They all did an outstanding job and went above and beyond to make it happen despite their busy schedules. MELECHESH is more than a band - it is a society!"

And it seems Caggiano and Cavalera are just as honoured to be involved in the project, with both musicians commenting:

"I've been a fan of MELECHESH for a while now and it was an honour for me to play a solo on their new album!! These guys sound like nothing else out there!" - Caggiano

"I was very honoured that MELECHESH asked me to sing on their new album! I'm a big fan and I think ‘The Epigenesis’ is one of the greatest extreme metal records ever done! I love the fact that they come from a different part of the world like me. So our worlds finally collide! Long live MELECHESH!" - Cavalera

ROTTING CHRIST's Sakis Tolis gushed further: "When I was told that our brother band MELECHESH would record their upcoming album in my hometown, I immediately picked up the phone and called Ashmedi to participate somehow. Ashmedi responded positively so I was ready to raise some serious hell... It is very interesting since we are sharing the same Mediterranean mentality as individuals. I believe this new album is one of the most unique and atmospheric metal albums I have heard the last years. Ashmedi took me to their majestic oriental path and showed me the way to the new Babylon. I am definitely proud working with the Kings of Fire and I really recommend to check the new MELECHESH album - it is really good!"

Enki features 12 string electric guitars aside from the 6 string played on the entire album, for a heavier and subtly richer harmonic sound. The band also tuned their instruments to the pitch perfect 432 Hz frequency, rather than the standardized 440 Hz one, for a deeper sonic experience within the human psyche and in accordance to the vibrations of the universe. The majority of the album was recorded in Greece and was mixed & mastered at Black Lounge Studio in Sweden by Jonas Kjellgren.

The tracklist reads as follows:

01. Tempest Temper Enlil Enraged 02. The Pendulum Speaks 03. Lost Tribes (featuring Max Cavalera) 04. Multiple Truths 05. Enki - Divine Nature Awoken (featuring Sakis Tolis) 06. Metatron And Man 07. The Palm The Eye And Lapis Lazuli (featuring Rob Caggiano) 08. Doorways To Irkala 09. The Outsiders

DARK FUNERAL Introduce New Band Members

DARK FUNERAL Introduce New Band Members

After launching their brand-new song 'Nail Them To The Cross' some days ago, Swedish black metal legends DARK FUNERAL now introduce their new frontman Heljarmadr and bassist Natt:

With roots in the second half of the 90’s black metal scene and with tentacles in bands such as highly respected Grá, Domgård and Cursed 13 comes a raw force from the underground.

Known as a fierce frontman, both on stage and on recordings with his previous bands, he will now step up and claim a seat in the throne room of DARK FUNERAL to inflict deep scars and infect wounds in the black metal scene. The name Heljarmadr derives from the old Scandinavian languages, simply meaning “a man belonging to hell”.

With long time experience in the arts of creating dark satanic music, he will play a key role in shaping the future vocal and lyrical direction of DARK FUNERAL. Expect nothing but excellence, pure darkness and uncompromising evil!

Treading into this world, Natt has always had a strong, deep interest in music and the arts of the great unknown. Spending time during the nights, exploring the Swedish ancient forests, avoiding the common mass that wanders this simplistic world, made his relations and visions to that which lies beyond, stronger.

Before DARK FUNERAL, Natt was a member of the black/thrash metal band Angrepp where he met his now close friends Adrian Lawson (Angrepp, IXXI) and Fredrik Widigs (The Ugly, Marduk) and later on joined the deeply devoted Black Metal act, Withershin.

Natt: "Since the beginning of my time, here, in this world, there has always been, a strong connection, towards the isolated parts of the soul, a connection within and beyond. A connection to what can not be seen, nor heard. To everything and nothing. To what is, and what is not, and that which lies between. Outside the borders of this life. Beyond, yet within the acausal flame, in the night, I dwell, beyond the broken circle, outside of the causal mundane, yet not."

With these new members joining the band’s ranks, DARK FUNERAL open the gates to a new chapter of furious, intense and merciless black metal.

A strictly limited 7” single including 'Nail Them To The Cross' and another new song will be released in early 2015!

Fearless Vampire Killers have just been announced to headline their very own personal stage at Takedown Festival at Southampton University on Saturday 7th March. Playing alongside their peers in Mallory Knox, Rolo Tomassi Decade & Devil Sold His Soul, this is a great chance for old and new fans to go and see the guys on a great festival supporting all corners of British Rock!

Kier Kemp (vox/guitar) comments, "This is really exciting for us! There's a great scene out there bubbling under and Takedown giving us this opportunity means that we can showcase some bands that we think are awesome! 2015 is going to be a big year"

Curating their own stage means that they have been given a chance to really make an extra special effort with what happens during the day on the Obsidian Stage, named after the bands social network, Obsidian Bond. They have picked bands that they are excited about for 2015, to be a part of their stages activities. And all we can say for now, is be prepared for some extraordinary goings on!

Kier continues, "This is also a great chance for us to infuse a little bit of our own flavour to the days proceedings. We'll be hanging out at the stage throughout the day, to check out all the bands and hang out with fans and friends! We may also have plans to bring in some less musical guests that we've had at our own shows in the past... More on that to come!"

With this, and the tour with In This Moment lined up for 2015 - its shaping up to be a mighty big year for Fearless Vampire Killers, already!

Stay tuned for more information and a Merry Christmas to all!
