Nicholas thought long and hard when it came to the process of launching his new album and decided that with PledgeMusic he could build a strong foundation for the release whilst also supporting a great cause, as PledgeMusic now offer the option to support a non profit organisation as part of your campaign. In this case, St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital is the benefactor of the Thomas Nicholas Band campaign. The centre, founded in 1962 is a paediatric treatment & research facility that focuses on the treatment of catastrophic diseases.

As well as supporting this excellent cause the campaign will also offer numerous exclusive items that cannot be purchased anywhere else, including signed American Pie memorabilia and copies of the album on vinyl which is a format the band have never released music on before.

SKINNY PUPPY founder Cevin Key to reissue first solo album on Toronto's Artoffact Records

Toronto, Canada - Canadian-born founder of Skinny Puppy, Kevin Crompton (aka Cevin Key), began to release solo material in the late 90s after the dissolution of his main project Skinny Puppy and in between albums by his more experimental work with Download.

The first solo album was Music For Cats, a co-release between Key's own Sub-Conscious Communications and US-label Metropolis Records. Released in 1998, the album featured an assortment of guests, including Dwayne Goettel (Skinny Puppy), Genesis P.Orridge (Psychic TV, Throbbing Gristle), Philth (Download), and Mark Spybey (Dead Voices on Air). The album's title was thought by some to be a direct reference to the end of Skinny Puppy; it is music for cats, not puppies.

Out of print for many years, Music For Cats now sees new life as a double-LP vinyl release through Artoffact Records. A limited edition on blue and pink vinyl sold out within 48 hours of announcement. A new see-thru green edition is now available alongside the standard black version. The double-LP is limited to 550 copies and the gatefold sleeve contains new photos by Cevin Key. The vinyl is set to be released on May 12th.

The Amatory Murder Release Official Music Video for "My Nightmare"

Brooklyn, NY - Alternative rock band Amatory Murder have released the Official Music Video for their single "My Nightmare"!

The Amatory Murder are proud to announce the music video release to our newest single, 'My Nightmare'. Continuing our theme of psychological anxiety and terror, the video was directed by David Bunting and contains subtle references to such taboo topics as the Illuminati, self-degradation, and dream analysis. Our main character is broken down throughout the song, questioning what is actually waking life and what is subconscious. Evident too is the influence from one of our greatest musical inspirations, Pink Floyd. We hope our family of Murderers enjoy this visual work of art as much as we enjoyed making it. - The Amatory Murder

About The Amatory Murder:

The Amatory Murder is an alternative rock band based in Brooklyn, New York that has shared the stage with bands including Alesana, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Farewell My Love, The Red Paintings, Megosh, Justin Symbol, Get Scared, and Blood On The Dance Floor.
Following in the footsteps of influential artists Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, and Muse, the group employs a variety of foundational sounds utilizing synthetic atmospheres, piano and programmed beat arrangements. Mixed with organic drums, heavy guitars and catchy hooks, the tracks are then topped off with angst-ridden lyrics.

In 2014, The Amatory Murder released their third record, Exploiting Our Dreams which was recorded, produced and financed entirely by themselves. Their newest single, 2015's "My Nightmare" continues the theme of neurosis, nightmares and deep-rooted fears. For the accompanying music video, they once again hired director David Bunting who directed last year's lyric video for the song 'A Haunting'. The song can be purchased via The Amatory Murder's Bandcamp page and comes with a bonus track remix of the single by DJ Elbow.

Recently, the band has been taken under the wing of Farewell My Love frontman Chad Kowal who has been assisting them with artist development. The Amatory Murder will be opening for rock band Julien K (the side project of Orgy members Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck) at The Studio at Webster Hall on April 24th in New York City for Julien K's record release show. This summer they will be playing some east coast tour dates with Farewell My Love.
