Music Icon STEVEN TYLER to Headline LaconiaFest on June 15, 2016

LACONIA, NEW HAMPSHIRE - When the producers of LaconiaFest set out to create the most iconic music experience of all time in New Hampshire, they had one name on the list. Steven Tyler. Today, LaconiaFest announced that legendary music icon Steven Tyler is set to perform on the main stage of the motorcycle music festival on June 15, 2016. Tyler will take the stage at LaconiaFest backed by his Nashville-based band, Loving Mary.

A beloved staple in New Hampshire, Tyler has a longtime connection to the area. In addition to spending his childhood summers in Lake Sunapee, it is where he met the members of the Joe Perry Jam Band, which later evolved into Aerosmith.

One of music's most recognizable and dynamic performers, Tyler has been cited by Rolling Stone as "one of the greatest singers of all time." Tyler and Aerosmith have sold more than 150 million records worldwide and he has won four GRAMMY® Awards, six American Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards and an Emmy® Award. Tyler is currently working on his highly-anticipated solo album that is scheduled to be released this summer on Big Machine Label Group's Dot Records. His critically-acclaimed single, "RED, WHITE, & YOU" is available now.

Tyler also has a love for motorcycles, making him a natural fit for the festival. In September 2007, Tyler launched a line of custom motorcycles, now named Dirico Motorcycles, and is a co-founder and partner of the motorcycle brand.

"We couldn't be more proud of Steven Tyler's homecoming to the state of New Hampshire for LaconiaFest," says Tyler Glover, co-producer of LaconiaFest. "Fans in this area grew up listening to Tyler's iconic voice several times a day on the radio, and they are even more eager to see him perform in person."

the GazettE - 'UNDYING'. Release date April 27 via JPU Records

the GazettE, one of Japan’s leading heavy rock bands, will release three track maxi-single 'UNDYING' via JPU Records on 27 April 2016, the same day as they perform in Canada as part of their world tour.

'UNDYING' is the 6th movement of PROJECT:DARK AGE, an artistic venture involving 18 creative professionals spanning Japan’s fashion, design, photography, sound, film and stage industries, with the GazettE’s five members at its centre. 'DOGMA', the GazettE’s latest album, was the first movement, and the current world tour makes up movements 7, 8 and 9.

'UNDYING' is mastered exclusively for iTunes and features crystal clear 24-bit audio. A video preview of all three tracks from the single have been made available from the band’s official YouTube Channel:

Since 2002, the GazettE has risen to become one of Japan’s most successful rock bands. They’ve refined and redefined the boundaries of rock music, achieving continual chart success despite their often heavy, ominous sound.

In the last decade, the GazettE have earned top-ten chart success with all 20 of their major label albums and singles. Their music has taken them all over Japan on massive, sold-out tours and seen them perform at some of the country’s most prestigious venues. Highlights include sold-out “one man lives” (a Japanese term for shows with a single band on the line-up) at the mighty Nippon Budokan, Saitama Super Arena and Japan’s 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome – not to mention packed-out tours across the globe. The band even managed to bring Shinjuku Station – the world’s busiest transport hub – to a halt when a guerrilla gig got out of hand and tens of thousands of fans arrived within minutes of the news breaking on social media.

the GazettE emerged from the depths of “visual kei”, a Japanese cultural music and fashion phenomenon. Originally part of its underground scene, preforming at tiny venues and self-releasing CDs, they now fill stadiums and have become known as one of the most significant names of the genre, effortlessly rewriting its rulebook with every release.

NINA Announces BEYOND MEMORY EP - Set for Release May 27th on Aztec Records

Currently in the studio with acclaimed producer Richard X (Goldfrapp, Erasure, New Order, Lana del Rey, Kylie Minogue), synthwave singer/songwriter NINA is ready to give listeners a taste of that collaboration with the release of BEYOND MEMORY EP on May 27, 2016 via Aztec Records.

Drawing influences from the likes of Com Truise, Kavinsky and Lana Del Rey amongst others, "Beyond Memory" once again mesmerizes the listener with her rich, silky vocals and New Wave-influenced cinematic analogue synthwork which Pitchfork once perfectly described as "radiant vocals, cast in a shadowy, distant vibe with bright, oscillating synth work that isn't a million miles away from Chvrches ' own Depeche Mode-isms."

“I'm very excited to have Richard X producing and curating my new release,” says NINA about her collaboration with the renowned producer. “He is very selective, so I'm humbled to have him on board. He totally gets my vision and my sound. These songs are very close to me, as it was a long creative process to get them how I wanted them, and I opened up to write very personal lyrics.”

On a rapid trajectory up, NINA has garnered previous support and plaudits from the likes of Pitchfork, Huffington Post, MTV, Hillydilly, and Earmilk. In 2015, she toured the East Coast with Erasure, garnering even more praise from Miami New Times, WeLoveDC, The Vinyl District, among others.

Hailing from Berlin’s bohemian district Neukölln, NINA began singing at the age of six and moved on to classical training during her teens. Her debut release, We Are The Wild Ones (2013), garnered great media attention. The track was used in SyFy’s supernatural hit TV series Being Human (Season 4), which exposed her music to millions of viewers. The official video for “We Are the Wild Ones” highlighted and premiered by Huffington Post who called the video "hauntingly stylish and sleek like the NINA's chanteuse-esque vocals." NINA’s second single "My Mistake" (2014), was included in HUGO BOSS’ 20 Years Co mpilation available at all HUGO BOSS stores worldwide. In addition, Mercedes Benz featured that same song on their European TV and radio ads, which were also broadcast in stadiums around Europe.

As she works diligently to complete her debut album with Richard X, 2016 is already set to push her even farther into the spotlight and deeper into international territory. Preselected for the 2016 MIDEM Artist Accelerator program, NINA will be performing at Canadian Music Week in May and before she heads off on another tour supporting German act DE/VISION in October. U.S. dates are currently in the works.

NINA’s BEYOND MEMORY EP will be released on May 27, 2016 via Aztec Records.

The Mission announce 3 more UK shows for 2016 30th Anniversary Tour

2016 sees The Mission celebrating 30 years since they first set foot on the stage at the intimate Alice In Wonderland club in London on January 20th 1986.

To celebrate The Mission set out on their most extensive and ambitious tour since they reformed in 2011, to coincide they will release a brand new studio album. Due to popular demand The Mission have added three further shows to the tour in November - 3rd Leeds O2 Academy, 4th London O2 Forum Kentish Town and 6th Birmingham O2 Institute.

The 30th anniversary tour starts in Dublin on October 1st and includes the Whitby Goth Weekend on November 5th.

Wayne Hussey exclaimed ’30 bloody years! Who would’ve thought it, eh? As we were well renowned for our, ahem, lifestyle choices, shall we say, I remember Melody Maker ran an office pool betting which member of The Mission would die first. I seem to remember Mick was the favourite with yours truly running a close 2nd. Well, we’re still here, alive and well and still going strong. It seems to me that anyone who survives past the age of 50 in this business these days is given honorary legendary status. It’s cheaply given, in my opinion, but we’ll take it.

I seriously never thought I’d see this day but 30 years is a remarkable achievement. Not one we could have achieved without the support and patronage of our brilliant audience. This celebration is for them as much as it is for our retirement funds.”

With the original members Wayne Hussey, Craig Adams and Simon Hinkler being joined by new drummer Mike Kelly in 2011 and armed by one of the most rabid fan bases in the world The Mission have continued to excite the legions with a slew of successful shows and tours. The Mission has sold in excess of 4 million of their previous 13 studio albums and attendant singles, compilations and live albums. They have garnered headlines in the worlds music press and not always for the quality and strength of their music.

However, with a new studio album planned and this extensive tour The Mission enter their 4th decade in the rudest of health.

The greatest stories ever told have a tendency to start in a stable, and so it is with Steve ‘n’ Seagulls, the ‘Barnyard Boogiemen’ from rural Finland…

Not only are the five musicians a genuine YouTube sensation, notching up tens of millions of views, they have also taken their ‘badass bluegrass’ all over the world, showing that skilful re-workings of some of metal’s finest moments (all given the band’s signature red-neck stamp) can work extremely well both live and on record.

The latest / second ’S 'n’ S’ album (title tbc) is set to be released later this year via Spinefarm Records; the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Farm Machine’, also issued on Spinefarm, it will see these sons of the soil delving into the world of original material for the first time, although the majority of the tracks will continue to be covers of rock & metal classics.

The headline tour in support of the second album runs as follows:

14-Nov Brighton, Haunt 15-Nov London, Bush Hall 16-Nov Cardiff, Globe 17-Nov Glasgow, Cathouse 18-Nov Manchester, Deaf Institute

Never Mind The Bullocks. Let the bluegrass metal mayhem continue!

DAWN OF ASHES – New album ‘Theophany’ out 20 May 2016 via Metropolis Records

Kristof Bathory founded Dawn Of Ashes in 2000. Seamlessly blending black metal and industrial influences, the sound of his LA based band has evolved over the course of seven albums, with their brand new release, ’Theophany’, being a ruthless horror show for the ears, eyes and mind. Produced by Mick Kenney of Anaal Nathrakh, it shows the group on top form, with a renewed purpose that unifies the intense sonic aggression and occult-inspired lyrics that DOA have summoned in their various incarnations.

The name Dawn Of Ashes is an allegorical metaphor meaning ‘beginning of the end’. The initial concept behind the band was to produce horror based dark electronic music and their debut album, ’Sacred Fever’ (2005) was a sample filled EBM terror soundscape that would thematically and lyrically define DOA for their next two records. However, Bathory had always been a fan of heavier styles of metal music and decided to change tack in 2008, announcing a new line-up and a switch from aggrotech to melodic death metal that resulted in a deal with Metal Blade and release of the well received ‘Genocide Chapters’ (2010). Participation in the ‘Darkness Reborn Tour’ alongside Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved and Blood Red Throne grew DOA’s fanbase considerably during this period. A subsequent burst of creativity that culminated in 2013’s ‘Anathema’ saw industrial music legend Chris Vrenna on production duties and reconciled Bathory’s love of both electronic and metal based music. Following a split at the end of 2013, Bathory and fellow founder member Bahemoth (electronics/keyboards) have recently regrouped, enlisted four new band members and signed to Metropolis Records to release ’Theophany'.

DAWN OF ASHES – ‘Theophany’

Genres:Black Metal, Industrial, Extreme Metal

Seamlessly blending black metal and industrial influences, Dawn Of Ashes is music of violent power, unrelenting destruction, and cinematic scope. the new album, Theophany, is a ruthless horror show for the ears, eyes and mind. The new album shows Dawn Of Ashes in top form, with a renewed purpose that unifies the intense sonic aggression and occult-inspired lyrics that DoA has summoned in all of its incarnations.

Society 1 Releases "Can't Get Through" Music Video

Society 1 has released a music video for their track “Can't Get Through” from their up coming album “Rise From The Dead”. The video, was directed and edited by singer Matt Zane of Lord Zane Productions (John 5, Wayne Static, Zakk Wylde, DMC, Orgy). The song was Produced & Mixed by Alex Crescioni at Stygian Sound and Mastered by Mike Wells at Mike Wells Mastering.

"This is a song that I thought was about one thing but really was about something else. It's so bizarre how opening yourself creatively can reveal the most difficult truths to see and accept. I wish the pain in this song on no one." said Zane

Watch the video here:

‘Merry metallers’ Reckless Love will be returning to London in June in the wake of their sold out show at the Scala Theatre in March. The flamboyant Finns, who have recently released their fourth studio album, ‘InVader’, via Spinefarm Records UK, have now been added to the line-up for the ‘Camden Rocks’ festival, set to take place on Saturday, June 4th.

Says guitarist, Pepe: “Camden Town is truly a special place for Reckless Love, as we rocked our first ever UK show there back in 2010! Since then, we've returned many times to this beautiful place, and even held a smashing month-long residency at one of its many lively rock clubs. So it is with the greatest pleasure that we come back in 2016 to take part in the awesome Camden Rocks Festival!!”

In support of this one-off outing, Reckless Love will be releasing a new single / video, ‘We Are The Weekend’ – opening track on ‘InVader’ and a genuine party-starter in true RL spirit. In addition, a double coloured vinyl version of ‘Invader’ – complete with previously unreleased bonus track, ‘Zoo’ – is about to go into production; apart from a Record Store Day piece in 2014, this will the first time the Finnish Four have had their music issued on vinyl!

And the colour of the vinyl? Pink. Next silly question.

Bullet For My Valentine’s Matt Tuck, performs world’s most thrilling gig for his best mates; skydiving, on speedboat and husky sledding, culminating in Jägermeister’s most extreme ‘Ice Cold Gig’ to date:

On the weekend of March 12th/13th, Jägermeister accomplished a world first by producing a thrilling continuous gig on air, sea and land, featuring Matt Tuck – lead singer of multi-award winning British heavy metal band, Bullet for My Valentine. The adrenalin-filled gig, which marked the fifth and most extreme chapter in Jägermeister’s Ice Cold Gig series, took place amidst (and above) the Lyngsfjord region, near Tromsø, in the stunning setting of North Norway, 192 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Jägermeister, the iconic German herbal spirit renowned for pushing the limits in the music world, invited the Bullet for My Valentine frontman, who has been part of the JägerMusic programme for years, to perform in this exhilarating world first attempt. The epic event encompasses three elements – never before associated with one continuous gig.

Matt and his unsuspecting audience of three loyal friends - completely oblivious to the adventure ahead until arriving at the dropzone - ascended to 15,000 feet above the stunning Lyngsfjord in a Eurocopter AS350 helicopter, set to start the show of a lifetime and truly test the bonds of friendship. Each paired with a specially trained instructor, Jägermeister’s 2016 Ice Cold Gig started in freezing freefall with the band launched into the brutal -30 Norwegian air. After the icy and swift free-fall and with canopy opened at 7000 feet, Matt grabbed his guitar playing the first song of the gig, The Last Fight, recorded on Zaxcom receivers for his floating audience, listening in on Sennheiser G3 headphones; a unique moment in music history.

Stage two of the Ice Cold Gig saw Matt and his mates whisked across the tranquil Lyngsfjord they had plummeted towards moments before, in a Buster Magnum speed boat. With wind chill factored in at -20 the challenge for Matt to sing and play the guitar was very real, yet spirits remained high with Matt wanting to put on a show deserving of his closest friends, who all sang along to Matt’s second song of the gig, Venom, the title track of Bullet for My Valentine’s phenomenally successful latest album which topped charts across the globe, and hit number 3 in the UK.

When the quartet arrived back on land they were led by Siberian huskies through the glistening Norwegian snow towards the Gukkesgaissa Mountains with Matt playing his 2010 classic Bittersweet Memories. Ushering his crew back to a traditional Norwegian Sami camp, the friends gathered alongside enthusiastic locals (including a couple of reindeer) – and, toasting to friendship and a world’s first in music; air, sea and land, celebrated with a well-deserved ice cold shot of Jägermeister.

After the gig, frontman Matt Tuck said: “I’ve played some incredible gigs around the world, but that was right up there, literally. Jäger’s Ice Cold Gig was one of the very best and definitely the most extreme! It’s my first skydiving experience, so dealing with the excitement and nerves – even before you add in the ruthless cold – was intense, but totally worth it. It’s awesome to say you did a world’s first in music, but to do it with my best mates, the guys who were there with me from the beginning, made it unforgettable. Now for a drink!”

In the Ice Cold Gig series, there’s no obstacle too big for Jägermeister to overcome. Jägermeister’s 2015 Ice Cold Gig saw UK progressive rock band TesseracT perform on top of an immense gigantic igloo, thought to be the world’s biggest, spanning the equivalent of 3.5 double decker buses in Ylläs Village in Lapland, Finland.

In 2014, Jägermeister hosted the world’s first gig on an iceberg with UK metal band The Defiled. The band performed a special set to a host of locals from the nearby town of Kulusuk Greenland, who ventured out to the ice field to watch this once-in-a-lifetime experience from an array of fishing boats and leisure craft.

Tom Carson, Jägermeister UK music manager added: "We go bigger every year and because of the nature of this world first, spanning air, sea and land, in extreme conditions, this gig was not only a test of friendship but one of supporting each other too. I think they had a great laugh. The Ice Cold Gigs have become such a prominent feature for our JägerMusic programme and this year we really wanted to celebrate musicians giving back to the people who supported them from the very start; typically their best friends".

Like Jägermeister’s 85 year old secret recipe, plans like these do not come about overnight. The mammoth challenge of putting this incredible tribute to friendship together fell to Secret Compass, a professional expedition company whose Brand Projects team is adept at conceptualising and delivering multi-platform media projects of this nature in the world's wildest places. Faced with extreme modes of transport, freezing temperatures, high winds and rock stars, the team utilised strategic planning, the latest high tech equipment and sheer human endurance to capture the essence of the project.

Tom McShane, Operations Director, Secret Compass commented: “From having to film from helicopters, skydiving, speedboats to huskies, this project was mammoth in the extreme. From looking after all the filming and audio kit in freezing temperatures, to co-ordinating the permissions to run a really complex project, and getting the logistics in place has been challenging to say the least, but like Jägermeister, we revel in breaking boundaries."

Luna Rise - Dancing With Tears In My Eyes

Follow Luna Rise on the dance floor next fullmoon with their brand new video release - "Dancing With Tears in My Eyes" - released on Friday, April the 22nd.

Luna Rise are back! Having released two masterfully produced music videos (Dead Alley, Valentine), and their critically acclaimed debut-effort "Dark Days & Bright Nights" the self-proclaimed "Heart-Rockers" now reveal quite literally - the crude truth. No overly special film location, no casted actors and no make-up at all. More than ever before do Luna Rise offer a glimpse behind the curtains of the recording-process.

For the first time the moonstruck rockers present their interpretation of a cover-song. The title "Dancing with Tears in my Eyes" orignially by the 80s-classic rock icons "Ultravox" is being re-shaped and modelled following the unique blend that gives Luna Rise their signature sound. Ye be warned - tears are gonna be shed.

Additional info:

The release of their debut album Dark Days & Bright Nights in 2015 via NRT-Records was followed by positive reception and acclaim from fans and the press alike. Luna Rise so beautifully crafted an interplay of passionate Melodic-Rock and full-on Dark-Rock which won the hearts of fans all over the globe. Already in their founding year in 2011, Luna Rise built up a loyal following with the release of the debut-EP "Smoking Kills, But Love Can Break A Heart".

Now, after their previous music video release to the song "Valentine" (2014), Luna Rise now invite you to come and dance under the moonlight by releasing their most recent motion picture effort for their Ultravox cover "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes".

Inital ideas and concept for the video were developed by bandleader Chris Divine, who also supervised production and editing of the project.

THE ANTIKAROSHI: German Trio Premieres New Video At Louder Than War

Exile On Mainstream announces the impending vinyl-only release of fourth album from German post-rock trio THE ANTIKAROSHI, the succinctly-titled 11 Songs Mostly Written And Played On Wednesday Evenings By A Band Called The Antikaroshi.

In advance of its May street date, a video for the album's catchy "The Only Witness" has been created, conceived by the band, filmed by Fritzie and THE ANTIKAROSHI, and edited by the band as well, the video sees its genesis through an exclusive premiere at Louder Than War.

Get caught up in "The Only Witness" by THE ANTIKAROSHI at Louder Than War RIGHT HERE.

THE ANTIKAROSHI has always worn their influences of DC punk and hardcore on their sleeves, and with each album they've been carving their own sound from these very origins. Following their regular rehearsals, the band locked themselves in the studio in May 2015 for two days to record eleven tracks in a 100% live setting. Perfection wasn't the goal. There is no binding concept behind the combination of songs and neither does the album mark a closed chapter. It rather remains a snapshot of a band at a certain level, at a certain point in time. The songs on 11 Songs Mostly Written And Played On Wednesday Evenings By A Band Called The through emotional landscapes, swimming in melodies and crawling through disharmonics.

11 Songs Mostly Written And Played On Wednesday Evenings By A Band Called The Antikaroshi will be released on LP format via Exile On Mainstream on May 6th, but the album is shipping early two weeks ahead of street date through the label now.

Black Crown Initiate Announce New LP Details

PA beard enthusiasts BLACK CROWN INITIATE today have announced some brand new details surrounding their new release, due out later this year. The band will release Selves We Cannot Forgive on July 22, 2016 via Entertainment One Music (eOne). The tracklist and visually mindbending cover art created by Travis Smith (Opeth, Devin Townsend, Avenged Sevenfold) is also being revealed today. "We've been through a great deal as a band since our last release," says guitarist Andy Thomas. "We've grown a great deal as writers, players, and people and put everything we had into this one."

Recorded and mixed by Carson Slovak & Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Texas In July, From Ashes To New) at Atrium Audio Recording Studio’s in Lancaster PA, Selves We Cannot Forgive will be the follow up to the buzzworthy debut LP The Wreckage of Stars released at the end of 2014. The Wreckage of Stars also propelled the band into the international touring act it is today. BCI quickly found themselves on the road with the likes of Behemoth, Deicide, Napalm Death and Voivod.

Selves We Can Not Forgive, the band’s sophomore album with Entertainment One, is a lean and focused collection that jettisons the extraneous fat found too often within ambitious metal bands, striking a balance between fearless adventurousness and methodical might. It follows The Wreckage of Stars, which together with their self-financed Song of the Crippled Bull EP introduced Black Crown Initiate’s unapologetic exploration of everything from Friedrich Nietzsche and Greek Sophist Gorgias to Hinduism, Buddhism, and indigenous mysticism, with a pragmatic skepticism.

Thomas continues on their new release, "we feel it is a more than fitting next chapter for the band; one that we are truly proud and excited to enter. We hope you all enjoy it too. See you on the road!"

Black Crown Initiate have worked their way into the heavy music community’s collective consciousness with steady determination. Likeminded supporters who made the thrilling discovery of songs like “A Great Mistake,” “The Fractured One,” and “Withering Waves” are rewarded in kind by the continued evolution on Selves We Can Not Forgive. As Black Crown Initiate continuously proves, heavy metal and heavy intelligence don’t have to be mutually exclusive. These men are conjuring an awe inspiring body of work that is as unstoppable as it was inevitable, like existence itself. This is high-minded art delivered with a guttural growl.

Track listing:

1. For Red Cloud 2. Sorrowpsalm 3. Again 4. Belie The Machine 5. Selves We Cannot Forgive 6. Transmit To Disconnect 7. Matriarch 8. Vicious Lives

Temple of Lies release new video for 'Bats'

Taken from their new album 'From Sand', 'Bats' is a storming track that combines grooves, growls, riffs galore and the video showcases more facial hair than you can shake a very large stick at!

Upcoming shows:

April 23rd, Ye Olde Salutation, Nottingham. Rock, stoner, metal, doom all dayer
April 24th, Metal to the Masses QF2 @ Firebug Leicester, Doors 5.30pm

Midlands based Temple Of Lies first came to light in 2010, honing their skills on the road and blitzing venues up and down the country with their brutal sound. Overcoming a couple of line up changes early on in the band's existence, they've now consolidated their hugely talented line up and took the decision to rework a few of the tracks from their debut album 'Monumental' and put them onto 'From Sand', to reflect the far heavier, more mature sound they now have.

With 'From Sand', they've released an album that's a bit of a monster, a huge slab of raw, rasping stoner/doom styled heavy rock, urged relentlessly onward by vocalist Si Shaw's roar. There are no punches pulled, no slick tricks here just honest, full on & fabulous bruising tracks belted out in their own inimitable style!

The band's highly energetic live show delivers both musically and visually, entertaining audiences wherever they play and they are first and foremost a live band at heart, always will be. Temple Of Lies have recently supported the likes of XII Boar, Kyrbgrinder, Stormbringer, One Machine and their profile is growing fast so you're going to be seeing a lot more of these guys!

‘From Sand’ was produced & mixed at ‘The Paddocks’ studio by Ross Hillard and Temple Of Lies, mastered at ‘Safe And Sound’.

Temple Of Lies are:

Vocals - Si Shaw Guitar - Jon Scranney Bass - Simon Ball Drums - Alex Gamble

Entertainment One (eOne) breaks into the Top 10 this week with Book of Shadows II, the new album by guitar icon Zakk Wylde. The album debuts at #2 on the Independent Chart, #3 on the Rock Chart and # 6 on the Current Albums Chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

eOne Music’s hard rock and metal roster also includes established acts like Ace Frehley, High on Fire, Pop Evil and Crowbar, alongside up and comers such as Black Crown Initiate, The Contortionist and Avatar. Book Of Shadows II was on April 8th, 2016 via Entertainment One Music (eOne Music), Zakk Wylde's first solo release in 20 years. This release is the highly anticipated follow up to 1996’s Book of Shadows LP, a classic album Wylde released between his work with Ozzy Osbourne that has since become a fan favorite.

The fearlessly introspective melancholy and melody of Book of Shadows helped to make its follow-up one of Rolling Stone’s Most Anticipated Albums of 2016. As fierce and diverse as his work in Black Label Society and as large as his accomplishments as lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne have been, Book of Shadows II offers an even richer look into the spirit and psyche of one of the most beloved pillars of the hard rock community. Brand new tracks like “Sleeping Dogs,” “Tears of December,” “Darkest Hour,” “Harbors of Pity,” and “The King” are bold proclamations of intense feeling and powerful catharsis.

Zakk Wylde’s powerful pipes, mayhem-inducing charisma, mischievous humor, and instantly recognizable pinch-harmonic driven blues based histrionic guitar shredding have made him the world’s most beloved American Guitar Hero.

Keeping up with his road dog reputation Wylde has accumulated over the decades, he is treating 2016 no differently. Having just wrapped up a successful run on the The Hendrix Experience Tour featuring some of the biggest names in Rock N Roll celebrating the legacy of Jimi Hendrix. Wylde has wasted no time heading out on the road on the 2016 Generation Axe Tour featuring Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abasi.

In addition, eOne also celebrates the #1 album in the country with The Lumineers’ Cleopatra, released on Dualtone Records, an Entertainment One Company. The album debuts this week at #1 on the Top 200 Chart, The Independent Chart and the Top Current Albums Chart.

Track listing:

1. Autumn Changes 2. Tears of December 3. Lay Me Down 4. Lost Prayer 5. Darkest Hour 6. The Levee 7. Eyes of Burden 8. Forgotten Memory 9. Yesterday's Tears 10. Harbors of Pity 11. Sorrowed Regret 12. Useless Apologies 13. Sleeping Dogs 14. The King

The band is eager to release their songs to the world, the band spent a good portion of the spring locked away in Groovemaster Studios in Chicago.

"This is the perfect time to release this record," says Preotu. "A time where America is angry, frustrated, lost, but hopeful. The songs are honest and biographical to the point that every lyric made me cry as it transported me to important and memorable moments of my life. Moments of loss and hope, moments that every citizen and immigrant can relate to." Anchored by songwriting duo Uliana and guitarist Leon Lyazidi, the band has come a long way from their previous projects in New York City. What served as an artistic restart has turned into a runaway train of accomplishment that seems to be going faster as time goes on. The band signed a new deal with eOne Music last year. “eOne is real," says Leon. "When we set out to launch Cilver, we were looking for people who ate, slept and bled music just like we did. eOne was clearly a cut above everyone else and we couldn’t be more excited to be part an amazing roster, led by a passionate and creative team.” Uliana was recently featured in the Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock issue of the magazine and calendar. After a series of radio festivals and showcases, CILVER then found themselves on a boat with Motörhead for the Motorboat Cruise this past fall. Schimineck, formerly of NYC Popfest alums Pet Milk is flanked by the shimmery and adventurous guitar interplay of Attics (Literature, former Pitchfork Media) and O'Halloran (of indie heroes Little Big League, Run For Cover Records). Hagiwara and Schackerman provide a sturdy rhythmic base, creating a sound that's equally lush and driving, using Sarah Records-inspired pop as a basis for savvy de-/reconstruction and sonic experimentation. Despite having only started in March of 2015, the group has achieved a lot. They've collected many endorsements, including those from Chickfactor Magazine, Pains of Being Pure at Heart's Kip Berman and NPR, they've shared the stage with bands such as Expert Alterations, Joanna Gruesome, Beverly, TEEN, Eternal Summers, and their 2016 SxSW visit was a head-turning, mind-melting blast.

Now they cap of their first year with the release of their debut single, Ariana. While their sound uses classic indiepop as a jumping-off point, there are bits of shoegaze, post-punk and DIY punk in the mix that recall like-minded bands like Veronica Falls, Makthaverskan, Fear of Men and Frankie Rose. "Ariana" is gorgeous tangle of chorused, jangling guitars and Sarah's dreamlike vocals. A marvelous two and a half minutes of perfect, forward-thinking pop. On the flip, "All That Heaven Allows" leans more on the band's post-punk inspirations, marked by a careening rhythm and a huge chorus that will stick in your head for days.

Ariana is out May 20th, just in time for the band's engagement at NYC Popfest alongside legends The Primitives and The Chesterfields. The spring is looking to be fully scheduled with shows up and down the east coast, keeping the band busy while they write and record their highly-anticipated debut album.

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, led into action by Texas-born vocalist / guitarist Tyler Bryant, will play a dozen European stadium shows as sole support to rock legends AC/DC in May / June 2016; in addition to these dates, some already sold out, TB&TS – purveyors of electrifying rock ‘n’ roll, loud an’ proud, with blues and alternative leanings also coming into play – have slotted in 10 headline appearances of their own.

This leg of the AC/DC tour will see 25-year-old Tyler, now based in Nashville, plus band-mates Caleb Crosby (drums), Graham Whitford (guitar) and Noah Denney (drums) visiting a number of European markets for the first time, including the UK where headline gigs in London and Nottingham have just gone on sale. In the space of five glorious weeks, TB&TS – no strangers to the dynamics of the larger, more spectacular rock show having already shared Stateside stages with Jeff Beck, ZZ Top, Aerosmith and more – will unleash their high-proof blend of melody, muscle and psychedelic mystique to well in excess of 600,000 riff-hungry fans across 12 different countries… the highway to hell, indeed!

TB&TS’s latest release, and first for Spinefarm/Varvatos, is a six-track EP called ‘The Wayside’; produced, recorded & mixed by Vance Powell (Jack White, Seasick Steve), these half-dozen tracks see the musicians showing the full scope and sway of their collective vision – from giant groove rockers such as ‘Stitch It Up’, ‘Mojo Workin’’ and lead single / video ‘Loaded Dice & Buried Money’ through the hypnotic swagger of ‘Devil’s Keep’ and onto the atmospheric plea that is ‘The Wayside’, with Tyler’s background in the blues (he’s a recipient of the Robert Johnson Foundation’s ‘New Generation’ award, and studied under the late, respected Roosevelt Twitty Sr.) ensuring that raw emotion is never far from the surface. It’s a quality that stood the young musician, indeed the whole band, in good stead when they took to the road with ZZ Top main-man Billy Gibbons for his US acoustic tour in late 2015 / early 2016…

In addition to joining AC/DC for shows in Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland & Denmark, and visiting the Netherlands & Poland for one-off headliners, TB&TS have the following dates lined up for the UK:-

4 – Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London (supporting AC/DC) 6 – Boston Music Room, London (headline show) 7 – The Bodega, Nottingham (headline show) 9 – Etihad Stadium, Manchester (supporting AC/DC)

GORILLA & GRIFTER split album released this week on HeviSike Records

A new split album from two of the UK's hottest power trios.
Released 15th April 2016 on HeviSike Records
Artwork by Maarten Donders

GORILLA are no strangers to fans of heavy-as-hell rock n’ roll. The no-nonsense power trio, led by The Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell frontman Johnny Gorilla, have released three albums since forming in the late 1990s.

One of the last bands standing from the first wave of UK underground rock, the three-piece have played festivals including Roadburn and Duna Jam and shared the stage with the likes of Fu Manchu, Josiah, Witchcraft and Gentleman’s Pistols. Joining founding members Johnny (guitar & vocals) and Sarah Jane (bass) is new sticksman Ryan Matthews.

English three-piece GRIFTER have made a name for themselves as one of the premier touring acts through frequent live appearances. As well as releasing two albums and two EPs on labels including Catacomb Records and Ripple Music, the trio have performed at Desertfest, Bloodstock, Freak Valley and more plus toured with Orange Goblin.

Formed in 2003, Grifter’s line-up has gone unchanged; Foz on drums, Phil on bass and Ollie on guitar and vocals. The trio consider themselves simply a rock band; drawing influences from across the board, Grifter present a sound that can only be described as loud and heavy hard rock.

Gorilla vs Grifter will be the second in a planned series of split albums released through HeviSike, following 2015's Mos Generator // Stubb split release.

The album has been mastered by Tony Reed (Mos Generator) and features a unique cover designed by Dutch artist Maarten Donders, known for his poster designs for Blues Pills and Roadburn Festival amongst others.

The two English power trios join the Birmingham-based imprint as special guests at an exciting time following the label's launch in late 2014. Previous output from the label includes the debut EP from Chicago psychedelic rockers Dead Feathers and albums from Elevators to The Grateful Sky, Prophets of Saturn, Desert Suns and Palm Desert amongst others.

Available as a limited edition vinyl record in two colour-ways, Gorilla vs Grifter will be available to pre-order from Friday 1st April ahead of it's 15th April release date.

Colour vinyl options:

Gold - (limited to 100 copies, exclusive) Yellow / Blue Marbled

The album will be distributed by Plastic Head Distribution in the UK & Europe and by MVD Entertainment in North America.

Gorilla vs Grifter will be available digitally through bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify and other digital outlets.

Hour 24 Releases Music Video "Emergence"

Michigan alternative rock band Hour 24 release their new music video for their single "Emergence." The single is the title track off of the band's new EP, produced by Dan Korneff (Paramore, Pierce the Veil, Breaking Benjamin), that comes out on April 19th.

Vocalist Rachel Mayer states "I truly want to make a difference in the world with our music and focus on the positive aspects in life. Too many people get caught up in all the negative stuff that's going on in our world. Each one of these songs on Emergence is about learning lessons in life and reflecting on the positive aspects of those lessons, especially if they come out of negative situations. The lyrics were written to help open people's eyes up and show that we all go through hard times. We can overcome them whether it's dealing with fear, letting go of people or stressful situations, or even the challenges faced when striving for your dream.

The band will be headlining to support the release of the new EP the rest of the year. The following dates have been announced, with more to come:

April 15th Toledo, OH Frankies April 16th Akron, OH The Bar Akron April 17th Pittsburg, PA Black Forge Coffee House April 18th Vienna, VA Jammin' Java April 20th Dover, DE Tom's Bullpen April 21st Beckley, WV Muncheez Bar & Grille April 23rd Pontiac, MI Pike Room April 24th Lansing, MI Mac's Bar April 26th Ann Arbor, MI Club Above
