Catch Fire Release Debut EP ‘The Distance I Am From You’

Released 5 February 2016 via Rude Records, The Distance I Am From You’ is Catch Fire’s bouncy debut. A posi pop-punk proposition formed earlier this year from the ashes of local heroes, Layby, guitarist Tim Bell declares enthusiastically: “We have a burning desire to write and play music. It’s really as simple as that. I don’t think any of us can see ourselves doing anything other than this.” The good news is, with their debut E.P The Distance I Am From You boasting bangers as infectious as lead single and future floor filler, ‘Bad Behaviour’, and the soaring, emo- tinged ‘Anaesthetic’, it’s not likely that the lads of Catch Fire (rounded off by vocalist Miles Kent, guitarist/ vocalist Neal Arkley, drummer Ash Wain and bassist Joseph Ryan Askew) will need to consider doing anything else, anytime soon.

Teaming up with rising European label Rude Records (Set It Off, Zebrahead, Blood Youth, Light Years, Knuckle Puck) for the release, the band are also making their mark on the touring circuit. Forthcoming dates include:

05.02.16 – Mansfield, Intake (Release Show) 06.02.16- Birmingham, House Show 07.02.16- Sheffield, Riverside 01.04.16- Manchester, Zoo 02.04.16- Wrexham, Rewind 03.04.16- Sheffield, The hop 04.04.16- Birmingham, Wagon & Horses

We would be remiss to not highlight that the Notts quintet do not take their name from The Hunger Games franchise. No, that would be daft. Rather, their moniker was inspired by guitarist Neal Arkley and his, ahem, hair colour. “Neal is ginger, and there isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t verbally assault him for it” says Tim. “Neal walked into practice one day, and Ash said “Neal, I think your head’s caught fire”. That’s it. Band name sorted” Dubious nomenclature aside, Catch Fire are primed for an explosive year, with The Distance I Am From You the ideal

VICTIMS: Stockholm Crust Icons Premiere "Walls" From Tankcrimes-Bound Sirens LP At Decibel Magazine

Sirens is the forthcoming new full-length from long-running Stockholm hardcore crust troopers, VICTIMS. Set for official detonation on April 15th via Tankcrimes Records, the band's first full-length since 2011's acclaimed A Dissident LP was tracked at Studio Gutterview by Fred Estby (Dismember, At The Gates, Refused), mastered at Audiosiege by Brad Boatright (Iron Reagan, Nails, Integrity), and features the expected white-knuckled surges of angst as well as some more expansive elements throughout the album, all enshrouded in a barbed-wire vocal delivery, packed with unstoppable gang-chants and inescapable hooks.

In advance of its release today Decibel Magazine offers up opening track "Walls" for public ingestion. Notes drummer Andy Henriksson of the track, "It was one of the first songs we wrote for the album and its darkness set the tone for how the rest of the album would progress."

Witness "Walls" at THIS LOCATION.

As a precursor to the release of Sirens, VICTIMS will storm the West Coast North American populations on a short but punishing live trek. Running from March 24th through April 1st, the Swedish marauders will kick off the tour with two shows with Napalm Death and Melt Banana in Santa Ana and San Diego, then blaze a path north through Los Angeles, Oakland, Eureka, Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver. Portland will get a double-dose of VICTIMS on this run as the band has been confirmed to join that city's appearance of the Decibel Magazine Tour 2016 with Abbath, High On Fire, Skeletonwitch, and Tribulation on March 31st. VICTIMS is also confirmed for several European Summer festivals including Hellfest, Temples Fest and more, with additional tour dates to be announced in the coming weeks.

VICTIMS:

3/24/2016 Observatory - Santa Ana, CA w/ Napalm Death, Melt Banana 3/25/2016 Casbah - San Diego, CA w/ Napalm Death, Melt Banana 3/26/2016 Los Globos - Los Angeles, CA 3/27/2016 Metro - Oakland, CA w/ Brainoil 3/28/2016 VFW - Eureka, CA 3/29/2016 Black Water - Portland, OR 3/30/2016 Highline - Seattle, WA 3/31/2016 Roseland - Portland, OR @ Decibel Tour w/ Abbath, High On Fire, Skeletonwitch, Tribulation 4/01/2016 Astoria - Vancouver, BC 6/17-19/2016 Hellfest - Clisson, FR 6/02-05/2016 Temples Fest - Bristol, UK

To even the most pedestrian fan of d-beat hardcore/crust punk, VICTIMS is undeniably one of the genre's kings, their name as synonymous with the genre as Anti-Cimex, Wolfpack/Wolfbrigade, From Ashes Rise, and the like. Through an exceptionally solid but not overcrowded discography since their 1997 inception, through labels like Havoc Records, Deathwish, Tankcrimes and more the band has yielded five prior LPs, and a variety of EPs, having shared platters on splits with the likes of From Ashes Rise, Kylesa, and Acursed. In the fourteen years that have passed since those early days of rehearsals in Nypan, VICTIMS has toured internationally, heavily focused on Europe and the US extensively. Along the way they've experienced highs and lows, seen lineup changes and personal tragedy, they've been robbed in Italy and hospitalized in the USA. They've also played with a host of great bands, touring with the likes of Coliseum, Rotten Sound, Trap Them and The Ocean, Municipal Waste, Black Breath, and countless others, and undoubtedly made some life-long friendships. Today, VICTIMS stands as one of the most respected bands of the underground punk and hardcore community.

The new Magic EP + Remixes by Army Of The Universe is a tasteful sampler to anticipate the band's upcoming album (summer 2016).

Army Of The Universe was founded in 2008 by Electronic Dance producer Trebla (aka Albert Vorne) and lead singer Lord K. In 2010, guitar player Dave Tavecchia joined the band and one year later Chris Vrenna (NIN, Marilyn Manson, Tweaker) co-produced their first album Mother Ignorance (Metropolis Records). Army Of The Universe’ sound is made of analog synths and blade guitars, speeding around the echoes of 80's vibes and 90's industrial, throughout the underground of Brit's school electronica, new wave and techno beats.

The band and their debut album Mother Ignorance have been considered one of the newest and most exciting surprises throughout both the industrial and rave scenes. Between 2011 and 2014 the band toured North America and Europe for over 80 shows, including several DJ set gigs, a mix of dark underground sounds with live vocal performances. In the meanwhile The Army released one more EP on Metropolis Records, Until The End followed by a second album, The Hipster Sacrifice, and a new single, "Uniforms", in 2014. Their experimentation also landed the band on Dim Mak Records for Kill The F* DJ EP and the single "PNKRZ!"

AUTHOR & PUNISHER, named, "one of the most prolific acts in aggressive music," by Noisey, continues to tour in support of latest full-length Melk En Honing, released last year via Housecore Records. The record was listed among Decibel Magazine's Top 40 Albums Of 2015 and continues to astound listeners globally.

After leaving a career as a mechanical engineer in Boston to focus on art and sculpture, Tristan Shone, the creator and sole artist behind AUTHOR & PUNISHER, moved west to pursue his MFA in Southern California. In the metal and machine shops of University of California, San Diego, Shone forged a relationship with design, sound and fabrication that ultimately yielded AUTHOR & PUNISHER's first music and mapped the journey away from traditional instrumentation towards custom made, precision machinery. Shone used his technical knowledge, along with his artistic background to create what Wired Magazine has hailed as his own "special brand of doom metal." Shone's high fidelity drone is thick and pulsating, laying a sonic lead blanket over your core, lingring only as long as it needs, regrouping or intensifying with pounding live rhythms and vocals. The sound builds up anxiously but always rewards with a hint of hope in the form of epic sonic phrases leaving you feeling exhausted but satisfied.

The custom devices that drive AUTHOR & PUNISHER begin mostly as big chunks of aluminum and steel that are worked into all manners of wheels, throttles, pedals, and masks to manipulate sound live. Shone's electromechanical arsenal and physical approach to live production become to heavy music what Survival Research Laboratories was to live, unscripted performance art.

All aspects of the AUTHOR & PUNISHER sound begin with physical movement, limbs struggling in unison to coordinate a wall of electronic rhythm and oscillation, ultimately conditioned by an organic and loose quality absent of sequencing and plastic perfection. AUTHOR & PUNISHER performances are a real amalgamation between man and mechanisms. They are direct, physical, heavy experiences that have amassed praise and intrigue from a wide array of audiences. Pitchfork styled him "immediate but mysterious," Stereogum described his "chilling, unrecognizable form," and NPR hails him as "a thrill [who] fires on all cylinders."

Anton Kellner & The Lone Stars Share Album 'Understand' a Day Ahead of Release

Stream Understand Exclusively at Exclaim! HERE

With the release of their sophomore album Understand [out 2/26/16]on the way, Alternative-Folk/Americana outfit Anton Kellner & The Lone Stars partnered with Exclaim! to give fans an exclusive first-listen at the album in full. Understand was produced by Anton Kellner and Nolan Perry, mixed and mastered by Nolan Perry. Here is what Anton Kellner had to say about the release:

"Understand is a dark journey into the unknown. A diary of sorts, tying together strands of daily struggles and emotions but from the outside-in...For once, nothing that I have written on this album is personal. They are all separate stories about real people and their drastic situations that I have witnessed over the years. This album was written entirely by me. No collaborations, no special guests. We took a lot of risks with it, and dared to step into stories that were outside our comfort level. We are very proud of the end result, and truly believe that this is simply "our album." - Anton Kellner

Coastal California is the home of singer/songwriter Anton Kellner, who performs with his band under the moniker "Anton Kellner & The Lone Stars". The album was released on July 29th, 2014 and had much critical acclaim among the press & his fans. You Were The Fire was produced by Nolan Perry (The Mighty Fine), with additional mastering handled by Eric Boulanger (OneRepublic, Plain White T's). Kellner has landed 3 successful PR campaigns, extensive shows up & down the coast, two music videos, and numerous musical collaborations, such as with Louis Diller (HolyChild/Glassnote Records), Elle Puckett (Poema), Tim Brennan (June/Victory Records), Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday/The Color Fred). More on FATN:

Hailing from Lancaster, Pennsylvania; the sextet features double front-men Matt Brandyberry (responsible for the relentless twisting verses) and Chris Musser (delivering razor edged vocals) and they are already dealing in the sort of arena-ready anthems that will make you want to kick your 9-5 into the middle of next week.

Fuelled by the monotony of dead end jobs in a small, post-industrial blue collar town, FATN have written a collection of gut mangling tracks blending rap, rock, metal and riffs to create a dynamic aural antidote to the modern life grind. “When we were recording the album, we were all holding down full time jobs,” explains Musser

“To put it bluntly, there’s a lot of ‘Fu*k you’ on this album,” laughs Brandyberry. “A lot of stuff about shitty relationships, about working hard for something and people telling you can’t do it, about never accepting that things are just ‘beyond you’. We’re not the cool band from LA or New York or any of those places, we’re six regular guys from a regular place but that is in our favor, not against us. We understand what it’s like.”

With a US arena tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach already under their belt and a record deal along side some of the best known rock acts out there, From Ashes To New look set to take their message to a bigger stage they could have ever imagined.

ZAKK WYLDE DEBUTS "SLEEPING DOGS" & ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN TOUR

Guitar icon ZAKK WYLDE today has debuted an all new single titled "Sleeping Dogs" from his forthcoming solo LP. Artwork, created by Wylde and long-time collaborator John Irwin, is being revealed today along with 14-song track listing. "Sleeping Dogs" will also be available as an iTunes instant gratification track, meaning fans who pre order the album on iTunes will get the single immediately.

Pre-order Book Of Shadows II HERE.

Zakk Wylde will release Book Of Shadows II in UK/Europe/Australia/NZ on April 8th, 2016 via Spinefarm Records, his first solo release in 20 years. This release is the highly anticipated follow up to 1996’s Book of Shadows LP, a classic album Wylde released between his work with Ozzy Osbourne that has since become a fan favourite.

The fearlessly introspective melancholy and melody of Book of Shadows helped to make its follow-up one of Rolling Stone’s Most Anticipated Albums of 2016. As fierce and diverse as his work in Black Label Society and as large as his accomplishments as lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne have been, Book of Shadows II offers an even richer look into the spirit and psyche of one of the most beloved pillars of the hard rock community. Brand new tracks like “Sleeping Dogs,” “Tears of December,” “Darkest Hour,” “Harbors of Pity,” and “The King” are bold proclamations of intense feeling and powerful catharsis.

Zakk Wylde’s powerful pipes, mayhem-inducing charisma, mischievous humour, and instantly recognizable pinch-harmonic driven blues based histrionic guitar shredding have made him the world’s most beloved American Guitar Hero.

Keeping up with his road dog reputation Wylde has accumulated over the decades, he is treating 2016 no differently. Having just wrapped up a successful stint on the 2016 Axes and Anchors Cruise, Wylde wasted no time in announcing a run of European dates for May 25th through June 19th in support of Book of Shadows II. The tour – including headline shows & festival appearances – will see Wylde perform music from his extensive catalogue and vast spectrum of hits, with full band accompaniment.
