DROWNING POOL have announced a string of headlining tour dates serving as the first wave of support for their forthcoming LP. Audiotopsy and Violent New Breed will serve as support. "We're beyond excited to finally get out on the road in support of our new LP," says guitarist CJ Pierce. "We know Drowning Pool fans are eager to hear new music live, they'll definitely get that and more at these live shows!"

The band recently debuted a third new song titled "Hell To Pay," exclusively via Revolver Magazine. "It's about the futility of regret," says vocalist Jasen Moreno. "It's about the danger in second guessing yourself. It's about battling depression. It's about closure."

The band released their hit single "By The Blood" last month and it continues to rise up the Active Rock Radio chart as well as SiriusXM's Octane channel. A lyric video can be seen below.

Drowning Pool will release Hellelujah on February 5, 2016 via Entertainment One Music (eOne).

The band tapped renowned artist Brian Mercer (CHRIS CORNELL, LAMB OF GOD, HIGH ON FIRE) to design the cover art. Hellelujah will be the follow up to Resilience, released in 2013. This time the band worked with producer Jason Suecof (AUGUST BURNS RED, DEICIDE, DEATH ANGEL) at the helm. DROWNING POOL will also be performing at the 2016 NAIRMA AWARDS taking place January 22nd at The Yost Theater in Anaheim, CA. The award show is just one of many events surrounding the annual NAMM Convention.

Drowning Pool have beaten the darkness and now they celebrate life on life’s terms. The core trio of C.J. Pierce (guitar), Stevie Benton (bass) and Mike Luce (drums) mine hardship, struggle and disappointment to emerge victorious each time, crafting empowering hard rock anthems. Drowning Pool songs conjure emotions that deeply connect with those who persevere against the odds and sacrifice to survive, and their music transcends boundaries of race, class and lifestyle as well, resonating with people from all walks of life who look to music to get them through life’s challenges.

Jasen Moreno’s powerful vocals enabled him to quickly master Drowning Pool’s dense catalog when he became the band’s frontman in 2012. From his reverent delivery of the late Dave Williams mosh-pit ready lyrics in the ubiquitous signature hit "Bodies” to his powerful take on Top 5 Active Rock hits like “Step Up” from Desensitized (2004), “37 Stitches” from Full Circle (2007), and “Feel Like I Do” (Drowning Pool, 2010).

New Note to Self Music Video Shines Light on Mental Disorder

Post-hardcore group Note to Self explore the pitfalls of living with OCD in their new music video "Akrasia". Premiering today at Revolver Magazine, the video makes use of frantic, black and white cinematography and was directed by Marcus Eden at the Painted Tiger Warehouse.

"We wrote this song to give people insight to what it's like to live with a mental disorder," says vocalist Albert Schweizer "Being diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder myself, I know how alone a person can feel. It's hard for people to understand what we go through every day. This is our way of saying you are not alone, we understand."

"Akrasia" (defined as the state of mind in which someone acts against their better judgement through weakness of will) is available on the band's new EP Agony Complete via iTunes. The record, which was produced by Matt Good who recently worked on The Word Alive's upcoming release, helped the group land a deal with Powerline Management (also representing Asking Alexandria, From First to Last, Eyes Set to Kill, and more).

About Note to Self:

Note to Self is a five piece act originating from Phoenix, Arizona. Forming in late 2014 they set out to bridge the gap between metal and alternative while creating a sound that is driving and unique. Combining heavy riffs, hard-hitting drums, shredding solos, and infectious vocals Note to Self is not to be taken lightly. With their debut EP entitled 'Agony Complete' (produced by Matt Good, who recently produced The Word Alive's upcoming release) they exploded onto the scene March of 2015 with overwhelming positive fan reaction. Since then, they have shared the stage with multiple industry powerhouses including Asking Alexandria, Fear Factory, Powerman 5000, The Word Alive, Get Scared, and many more. Having recently teamed up with Powerline Management (also representing Asking Alexandria, From First to Last, Eyes Set to Kill, and more) Note to Self's journey has just begun and they have no intentions of looking back.

METAL CHURCH Announce track listing and cover artwork for new album 'XI'

Hard rock titans Metal Church have announced the track listing and unveiled the cover artwork for their latest album ‘XI’, due for release on March 25th via Nuclear Blast. The band’s 11th studio release also marks the return of legendary vocalist and front man Mike Howe.

‘XI’ was produced by Kurdt Vanderhoof and co-produced by Chris ‘The Wizard’ Collier.

From the first guitar riff of album opener ‘Reset’ through the driving outro of album closer ‘Suffer Fools’, it is clear that Metal Church is back and better than ever. ‘Needle and Suture’ and ‘Soul Eating Machine’ showcase the song writing that made the early Mike Howe albums ‘The Human Factor’, ‘Blessing In Disguise’ and ‘Hanging In The Balance’ such fan favourites. Musical opuses ‘Signal Path’ and ‘Sky Falls In’ clock in at over 7-minutes each and put the musicianship that Metal Church was known for on full display in 2016.

The track listing for ‘XI’ is:

1. Reset 2. Killing Your Time 3. No Tomorrow 4. Signal Path 5. Sky Falls In 6. Needle & Suture 7. Shadow 8. Blow Your Mind 9. Soul Eating Machine 10. It Waits 11. Suffer Fools

Metal Church recently released an official music video for their debut single from ‘XI’, ‘No Tomorrow’ which can be watched HERE. The video was filmed in the Satsop Nuclear Facility, an abandoned nuclear power plant in Elma, Washington. The video was directed by Jamie Chamberlin of Black Dahlia Films and features a unique visual that ties in to the location. A behind-the-scenes video on the making of the video for ‘No Tomorrow’ was also recently released and can be seen HERE.

The reunion between Mike Howe and Metal Church started in July of 2014 when Mike started working with Kurdt Vanderhoof on a side project he was forming with Nigel Glockler from Saxon. Through these initial conversations, Kurdt convinced Mike to ultimately return to Metal Church. The idea was to see if they could recapture some of the magic from the three albums they released in the late 80’s: ‘The Human Factor’, ‘Blessing In Disguise’ and ‘Hanging In The Balance’. Out of those sessions, ‘XI’ was born and captures the sound that made the band fan favourites in the 80‘s and mixes it with a new, invigorated sound for 2016.

VADER - Special Guests on Overkill ‘Killfest’ tour

Polish death metal legends Vader are very pleased to announce that they will performing as Special Guests to Overkill on their highly anticipated ‘Killfest’ tour 2016. Playing in support will be British metallers One Machine.

You can see Vader and Overkill slay the UK at the following shows:

April 5th – Birmingham, Rainbow Warehouse April 6th – Manchester, Sound Control April 7th – Leeds, Stylus April 8th – Glasgow, Classic Grand April 9th – Belfast, Limelight 1 April 10th – Dublin, Academy April 12th – Bristol, The Fleece April 13th – London, O2 Islington Academy

Vader released the ‘absolute heaviest’ studio album of their career last year, according to frontman Peter W.

The album in question is ‘Tibi Et Igni’ which was released globally via Nuclear Blast Records to widespread critical acclaim.

There is some contention as to the beginnings of Vader, but the truth is that they began in the autumn of 1983 by Piotr ‘Peter’ Wiwczarek (‘Bardast’ and later ‘Behemoth’ back then) playing the bass and the guitarist Zbyszek ‘Vika’ Wroblewski. Extreme metal was about to be born in Poland and Vader were among the pioneers of that genre in the newly emerging underground – and the only band from that era still reigning! The first crucial point in the band’s history was their participation in the first Polish heavy metal festival – Metalmania in 1986, where they played to an audience of around 5000 persons.

Vader recorded their first official material in 1989 in Olsztyn which became the 4-track demo ‘Necrolust’. This was their first studio release that reached beyond the Polish borders and earned them some excellent reviews across the globe. They released the demo ‘Morbid Reich’ in 1990 which eventually gained the status of being one of the bestselling metal demos in history. ‘Morbid Reich’ was also the first release to host Vader’s now infamous logo.
