ACE FREHLEY DEBUTS "EMERALD" FEAT. SLASH EXCLUSIVELY VIA ULTIMATE CLASSIC ROCK

ACE FREHLEY has debuted a second song today from his forthcoming inspirational covers LP due out later this month. Ultimateclassicrock.com is exclusively debuting Ace's take on the Thin Lizzy classic "Emerald." Recently reunited Guns N Roses axeman SLASH is featured front and center.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer ACE FREHLEY will release Origins Vol. 1, a collection of 12 newly recorded classics from Ace’s formative years featuring some of the biggest names in rock and roll, on April 15, 2016. Most notably, KISS frontman PAUL STANLEY joins ACE on Free's hit "Fire and Water." This collaboration marks the first time that Ace and Paul appear on the same studio recording since KISS' 1998 reunion album Psycho Circus.

Ace spoke with Rolling Stone about the new record, his guest players and recording with Paul after all these years. Rolling Stone writes: Regarding his reunion with Stanley, Frehley shrugs off any residual tension between the two of them. "We've always been friends," he says. "The press seems to amplify negativity. I guess it makes good copy."

Rolling Stone debuted "White Room," a few weeks ago, the classic hit originally performed by Cream. Other guests are none other than Slash trading leads on Thin Lizzy's classic "Emerald," Lita Ford singing and playing lead on The Troggs staple "Wild Thing," Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 playing guitar alongside Ace as he sings his classic KISS composition "Parasite" for the very first time, as well as Jimi Hendrix's "Spanish Castle Magic," and Pearl Jam's Mike McCready also plays guitar with Ace as he finally sings his KISS “Alive!” mainstay "Cold Gin." "White Room" is also an iTunes instant gratification track, meaning fans who pre order the LP on iTunes will receive the Cream cover song instantly.

Ace will be as active as ever on the road in 2016, having just announced 3 weeks worth of tour dates in the U.S., including two nights at the B.B. King Blues Club in New York City. Ace will be joined on the road by Richie Scarlet (rhythm, guitar and vocal duties), Chris Wyse on bass and vocals (The Cult), Scott Coogan on drums (Nikki Sixx’s Brides of Destruction).

Origins Vol. 1 will be the follow up to Space Invader, released in 2014. Space Invader was Frehley's first studio album in five years, and the LP debuted at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, scoring the highest charting position of any KISS solo album ever, and marked Frehley's first return to the Top 10 since KISS' aforementioned 1998's Psycho Circus in 1998.

Space Invader, received high praise from critics. Rolling Stone wrote, "Gene Simmons has claimed Ace Frehley doesn't deserve to wear Kiss' Kabuki clown paint, but the former Spaceman's first solo LP in five years says otherwise," while Associated Press hailed, "The original Kiss lead guitarist has recorded his best solo album since his groundbreaking self-titled album in 1978." Paste Magazine also confirmed, "Space Invader is a good rock album, and it’s an even better guitar record."

MORTIIS TO OFFER FREE DOWNLOAD OF 'DEMONS ARE BACK' ON APRIL 1

OSLO - Mortiis will offer "Demons are Back," the third single from the new release The Great Deceiver, as a free download single on April 1. Go HERE to download the free single/video.

The download will also include a remix by Marc Urselli, and uncensored version of the video, screensavers, Facebook-ready headers and band photos.

With its hauntingly memorable chorus, "Demons are Back" is one of the album's most accessible tracks, while also providing an overall narrative for the album. The track's video shows a grotesquely-masked voyeur watching dystopian scenes of utter despair, sadism and eventually, suicide through an array of TV screens, as his own life ends violently.

"'Demons are Back' is that song that just comes about through tinkering and general fuckery, not even taking it too seriously, and voila! The gates are open, and all your hang ups, faults and fears are right there, writhing on the desk in front of you, staring you down," the band's namesake said. "It's almost dangerous in a way."

Mortiis has made a point of offering The Great Deceiver's singles to fans free of charge, beginning with "Doppleganger" and "The Shining Lamp of God."

"We really do appreciate the fans' support through the years, and this is an easy way for us to give back to them," said Mortiis. "Also, as a music fan and collector myself, extras and remixes are something I can appreciate."

The Great Deceiver was released earlier this month via Omnipresence. It is available in CD and highly-limited edition vinyl formats directly through the band's website at www.mortiis.com.

The band will return to the UK in April for a small warm-up tour, with full tour plans to follow.
