March 13, 2015 — Detroit electronic-rock artist and FiXT label owner Celldweller has released End of an Empire (Chapter 03: Dreams) today, featuring a collection of 5 new original vocal & instrumentals tracks along with remixes from Combichrist, Hecq, Tom Player & Mobthrow.
Tracks like "Good L_ck (Yo_'re F_cked)" transport the listener into outer space with a cyber punk delivery that drives pure energy. On the reverse side, listeners hear a softer side of Celldweller in the majestic electronic-orchestral ballad "Just Like You." Listen to "Good L_ck (Yo_'re F_cked)" and "Just Like You":
Klayton (Celldweller) had this to say about the new record:
"Chapter 03 has probably been the most fun I’ve had making the album so far. On "Good Lck (Yo're F_cked)," I took a moment to shed the concept of being Celldweller and instead wrote from the perspective of someone else.
"Just Like You” was me venturing back into a place from where I’ve come, lyrically. Dreams are generally in constant threat of dying, and it was never more apparent than early on in my career. The concept of total failure and having to abandon my dream — specifically the dream of making music for a living, was sometimes downright debilitating. Pulling those moments into the lyrics and music was very cathartic for me."
Along with all new music, Celldweller has tapped a team of the best electronic and rock artists in the industry to remix the album's premier songs. Industrial rock giant Combichrist, elite composer Tom Player, renowned German-based artist Hecq, and creative electronic musician Mobthrow all provide their unique takes on the new Celldweller tracks.
