POYNTE - Debut Album 'Discreet Enemy'

Atlanta, GA - POYNTE is a hard rock band that has drawn many comparisons in their young careers thus far. Bands like Breaking Benjamin, RED, Starset and even Wovenwar have been used to describe POYNTE's sound.

From vocalist Kenny Hathorne's titanium jaw he recieved after a horrific scissor lift accident, to the tragic true story of their track Nursery Crimes, to their optimistic plans for 2016, POYNTE has plenty to talk about. While their lyrics certainly have plenty to say as well.

About Discreet Enemy:

Written and refined over the course of a year, the band recorded Discreet Enemy over a 60 day marathon in the band’s own studio, Covington, GA’s The Audiovault, with additional recording by Mike Froedge (Black Label Society/Double Drive/Bloodsimple) at Open Sky Studio. Discreet Enemy was mixed by acclaimed producer/mixer Andy Reilly (The Cult/Iron Maiden/Bon Jovi/The Police) and mastered by Matt Dalton (Royal Blood/Chiodos/Hed Pe/Attila/Tantric) at 37 Studios.

POYNTE had a very successful month-long tour supporting TRAPT and Sons of Texas in 2015. The tour saw them play 19 dates across 14 states. They look to build upon that success by heading back out on the road for a month-long tour in April 2016. (Announcement Coming Soon)

2015 saw the band release their first music video as well. As a true DIY band, they shot, edited and released the video for the uplifting track "Hold On". POYNTE used real people and real fans to star in the video. Adding an authenticity to the video for which they call their battle cry.

The band also received glowing feedback from musical contemporaries like guitarist Nick Perri (Silvertide/Shinedown/Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party/Sinai/Mount Holly), recently departed OTHERWISE Drummer Corky Gainsford AND Black Stone Cherry guitarist Ben Wells, all of whom have publicly sang the praises of tracks from Discreet Enemy.
