Radio Legend LOU BRUTUS Three-peats As "Best Nationally Syndicated Rock Radio Host"



Rock Radio stalwart LOU BRUTUS has again been voted Best Nationally Syndicated Host in America by voters in the Rock Radio Awards sponsored by Radio Contraband.

Winners were announced Friday, February 12, 2016 during an awards ceremony at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Brutus was host of the event, opening the festivities with an original song dedicated to all of the nominees entitled "If I Don't Win My Award Tonight (You Can All Go F**k Yourselves)." He was backed on the tune by Houston, TX based band Hounds of Jezebel.

It was the third year for the Best Nationally Syndicated Host category and Brutus has won on each occasion. Jesse James Dupree, lead singer of the band of Jackyl as well as star of the television series Full Throttle Saloon, handed him the award. Other rockers at the ceremony included Pop Evil, Wolfmother, and Stitched Up Heart.

Upon accepting the award Brutus said, "The only thing that has ever truly mattered to me in life is music. Without music, life itself is impossible. People come and go, but a great song remains loyal to you forever. I have killed for music. I am willing to kill for it again."

LOU BRUTUS is renowned for his twenty years of national syndication hosting hardDrive and hardDriveXL, heard on over 100 radio stations in the United States and Europe,as well as his work on other national radio platforms. He has been the first to introduce listeners nationally to Slipknot, Sevendust, Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, Halestorm, Godsmack, and countless other artists. Additionally, he is lead singer for the bands GRUMPY OLD PUNKS and DEAD SCHEMBECHLERS, as well as being a noted photographer.

This July, LOU BRUTUS will return as host of Rock Fest in Cadott, WI. The three day festival will feature Slipknot, Alice in Chains, Hollywood Vampires, Five Finger Death Punch, Marilyn Manson, and dozens of other bands. The producers of Rock Fest said, "We are honored to welcome Lou Brutus back to our stage. His listeners travel from all over the country to join him here and revel in his love of music. LOU BRUTUS is currently working on two books. The first is a coffee table book of his concert memorabilia collection entitled "One Man - Two Thousand Concerts: The Greatest F*cking Collection of Rock Show Sh*t in History". The second is a book of his adventures in music entitled "SONIC WARRIOR: My Life As A Rock and Roll Reprobate - Tales of Sex, Drugs, and Vomiting At Inopportune Moments".
